With reference to Vestas Wind Systems A/S company announcement No. 31 of 3 July 2013, Vestas is pleased to announce a firm and unconditional order from Cennergi, a joint venture between Exxaro and Tata Energy for the Tsitsikamma community wind farm in South Africa. The wind power plant consisting of 31 V112-3.0 MW wind turbines will be installed in Port Elizabeth at the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The first turbine delivery is planned for the second quarter of 2015 and the wind power plant is expected to be commissioned by the first quarter of 2016.

With reference to Vestas Wind Systems A/S company announcement No. 32 of 1 August 2013, Vestas is pleased to announce a firm and unconditional order for 105 MW from a consortium led by Innowind, an 80 per cent affiliate of EDF EN for the wind power plants Chaba, Waainek and Grassridge. The co-investors and partners in the projects are the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) and the local communities.

All three wind power plants, Chaba (7 x V112.3.0 MW), Waainek (8 x V112-3.0 MW) and Grassridge (20 x V112-3.0 MW) will be installed in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. The turbine delivery for all wind projects is planned to start mid-2014 and the commissioning is expected to start in the third quarter of 2014.

German wind farm developer Windreich GmbH will use 130, 5-megawatt (MW) turbines from French manufacturer AREVA, according to an agreement between the two companies.
The wind turbines will be installed in Windreich's 415 MW Baltic Eagle and 315 MW Ostseeschatz offshore wind projects - both of which are awaiting approval from Germany's Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency, Bloomberg reported.
The AREVA wind turbines feature an enlarged rotor diameter and new nacelle design, which should improve functionality. In a statement on its website, Windreich said the new turbines are expected to increase performance by 10 percent and are ideally suited for wind conditions in the Baltic Sea.
"The agreement is based on the long and positive cooperation between AREVA Wind and Windreich in the planning and implementation of offshore projects in the North Sea," Windreich said in a statement on its website.

Mit der Einweihung des ersten Großwindparks Bard Offshore 1 beginnt die Verwandlung der deutschen Nordsee in ein Industriegebiet: Mehrere tausend Windkraftanlagen, dazu gewaltige Konverterstationen und Wartungsplattformen werden in den kommenden Jahren die heimischen Hoheitsgewässer zu einer hochproduktiven Zone machen.

Zwar ist die Offshore-Windindustrie inzwischen umstritten und angefeindet. Doch dass die Politik hier den Stecker zieht, wie sich das die Protagonisten konkurrierender Ökostrom-Technologien wünschen, ist eher unwahrscheinlich

Die Offshore-Windenergie befinde sich am Scheideweg, heißt es im "Cuxhavener Appell". Deutschland verfüge als einziges europäisches Land über die gesamte Wertschöpfungskette beim Bau von Windenergieanlagen im Meer. "Dieser industriepolitische Vorteil muss auch im Hinblick auf die Arbeitsplatzsicherung und Exportmöglichkeiten erhalten und ausgebaut werden."

Der Geschäftsführer der Windenergie-Agentur WAB, Ronny Meyer, sagte, mit rund 4500 Stunden voller Stromproduktion im Jahr seien Offshore-Windmühlen den Anlagen an Land überlegen, die im Durchschnitt auf 2.000 Stunden kämen. Die Branche habe derzeit rund 18 000 Beschäftigte, bis zu 33.000 wären möglich.

Wichtiger Beitrag zur Wertsteigerung des Projektportfolios
RWE Innogy hat gestern die Genehmigungen für die Offshore-Windparks Innogy Nordsee 2 und 3 erhalten. Das Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) hat damit die Genehmigung zum Bau von weiteren 108 Windturbinen rund 40 Kilometer nördlich von Juist erteilt. Davon entfallen 48 Windkraftanlagen auf Innogy Nordsee 2 und 60 Anlagen auf Innogy Nordsee 3. Bereits im April 2012 hatte RWE Innogy die Genehmigung für den Windpark Innogy Nordsee 1 bestehend aus 54 Windkraftanlagen vom BSH erhalten. Das Baugebiet der drei Windparks umfasst insgesamt 100 Quadratkilometer. Bis zu 162 Windkraftanlagen mit einer installierten Leistung von rund 1.000 Megawatt (MW) können dort errichtet werden.

Wie ich schon sagte...Onshore hat bald das Ablaufdatum erreicht.

"Onshore in Deutschland" nennen......die Reformen werden ja schon taeglich angedeutet.

Grundsaetzlich wird Onshore weltweit weiterlaufen,in Deutschland wird das Repowering zunehmend an Bedeutung finden.Im gesunden Mix mit Offshore als Zugpferd,Speichern zusammen mit Onshore wirds was...Allerdings steigen die Kosten fuer Onshore dann wieder,wenn man die Speicherkosten mit einrechnet,die ja Offshore nicht benoetigt werden,da Grundlastfaehig......PLUS die wen. 30% an Kosten,die Offshore die naechsten Jahre eingespart werden(koennen).........

Eine Energieform in eine andere Umwandeln?
Darüber werden wir in ein paar Jahren schon lachen, wirst sehen.

Die Gasleitungen, wodurch man das Gas leiten will....die gehören aber nicht den Windis...da wirds zum zahlen...Ausbau und Erhalt, Abnützung etc.

das sich das auf den Strompreis auswirken wird....billiger wirds auf keinen Fall....da machen wir uns mal nix vor....dennoch ist die Speicherung ein wichtiger Baustein der Energiewende.....Ich frag mich allerdings,warum der Strompreis in Deutschland so hoch ist....andere Laender produzieren auch Strom aus EE,UK mal zu nennen...Weltweit am meisten Offshore installiert....warum kostet da die KWh nur 9 cent umgerechnet????
Hier wollen zu viele am Kuchen verdienen....und sowas kann sich mal ganz schnell zu ner Blase entwickeln....ich bin auf jeden Fall gespannt,wie sich die Zukunft entwickelt.......

Die haben vielleicht ein besseres Timing mit dm ganzen und schmeissen nicht sinnlos Geld beim Fenster raus.
Zum anderen weht da drüben der Wind wohl ein bisschen besser als in DE.

Überall nur mehr Solar und Onshore...ob es überhaupt noch wirtschaftlich ist, wird nicht mehr hinter fragt...es wird einfach nur mehr gebaut ...und solche Fehlstrukturen kosten Geld....dem Steuerzahler.

dann zahlt der Deutsche auch noch dafür, dass er seinen Strom abgeben darf.
Ja...dass System kostet.

Aber die Bevölkerung nimmt das nun schon nicht mehr hin.

Siemens hat erste Nordseeplattform erfolgreich installiert

Siemens hat die HelWin1-Offshore-Plattform in der Nordsee installiert und damit bei den deutschen Netzanbindungsprojekten eine entscheidende Etappe erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Über HelWin1 sollen die beiden Offshore-Windparks Nordsee Ost und Meerwind ans Festland angeschlossen werden. Auf der Plattform wird mit Siemens-Technik der von den Windturbinen erzeugte Wechselstrom für die Übertragung an Land in verlustarmen Gleichstrom umgewandelt.

RWE Innogy has received the permits for its offshore wind projects Innogy Nordsee 2 and 3. The German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) approved the construction of 108 wind turbines located some 40 km north of the island of Juist: Innogy Nordsee 2 will consist of 48 wind turbines and Innogy Nordsee 3 of 60 turbines.

In April 2012, the BSH had granted RWE Innogy the permit for Innogy Nordsee 1, the first of the three wind farms, consisting of 54 wind turbines. The wind farm’s construction field covers 100 square kilometers in total. Innogy says the permits allow for a total of up to 162 wind turbines with an installed capacity of approximately 1 GW to be built in this area.

Vattenfall bids to develop 170MW Scottish wind farm

scotland_200412_170Swedish energy company Vattenfall has submitted plans to build a 170MW wind farm in East Ayrshire, Scotland.

The proposed 50-turbine development will be considered by the Scottish Energy Consents Unit.

The company has said that, subject to planning approval, it would look to begin construction in 2016, with a view to bringing the farm"s first generational capacity online in 2018.

Earlier this month, Vattenfall formed part of a collaboration with a number of energy companies to reduce offshore wind costs in the UK.

The firm already has a 76-turbine 228MW wind farm in development in Wales, which is expected to begin producing power before the end of 2016.

Deepwater Wind CEO Jeffrey Grybowski says offshore wind power cheaper than solar power in R.I.

July 31 was a red letter day for Deepwater Wind, a Providence company that hopes to build the first offshore wind farm in the United States. That was the day Deepwater was announced as the winner of a federal auction to lease space for the farm in a 257-square-mile area of waters off Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

(The company plans an initial demonstration project of five turbines off Block Island. The larger project would have more than 100 turbines.)

It was in that context that Jeffrey R. Grybowski, chief executive officer of Deepwater Wind,appeared Aug. 4, 2013 on WJAR TV's public affairs show "10 News Conference."

Host Bill Rappleye asked Grybowski how much the electricity generated by the turbines would cost.

"Yes, 13- to 14-cent power [offshore wind energy per kilowatt hour] is probably what we"re talking about, significantly lower than the cost of what we"ve seen for offshore wind to date," Grybowski said. "Also, by the way, significantly less expensive than solar energy."
