Trintech Appoints Manison Payment Solutions OY to Launch PayWare Smart Technology in Scandinavia
Manison Payment Solutions Oy is Selected by Trintech as a Value-Added Reseller of Newly Launched PayWare Smart 5000 PINPad Technology

Dublin, Ireland/Dallas, Texas - 12th November 2003 - Trintech Group Plc (NASDAQ: TTPA: Prime Standard: TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced that it has appointed Manison Oy as a value-added-reseller (VAR) for its innovative smart card technology in Finland and Sweden.

Manison will market and support Trintech's full range of EMV-certified PayWare Smart 5000 PINPads and software to banks and retailers in the region. The Helsinki-based company is working with Trintech to enable the migration to EMV Chip and PIN that is expected to take place in Finland and Sweden in 2004.

"We are delighted to announce Manison as a new distributor for our PINPad product range to help facilitate the smooth and secure deployment of chip and PIN in Scandinavia," said Eamon Keating, General Manager of Trintech's Retail business. "Manison has selected Trintech's PINPad range for both its installed base of terminals and for upgrade of integrated EPOS systems in large multi-lane retailers."

"Manison has carefully chosen to work with Trintech because of its proven, fully EMV-certified product range", said Paivo Eerola, Managing Director of Manison Oy. "Manison's objective is to become the primary supplier of EMV solutions to the market, working directly with retailers and through EPOS vendors and system integrators. We have found in the Smart 5000, a uniquely powerful and open platform that addresses the needs of busy checkouts. Using the Trintech SmartPIN interface software, integration with EPOS applications is straightforward for our customers."

With sales and support offices in both markets, Manison is a growing supplier of payment card acceptance solutions in the region. Manison Oy was established in 1999 in Finland and has grown to become a leading supplier within that market. In 2003 it expanded its operations into Sweden.

EMV in Scandinavia
The move to smart cards and PIN transactions is being encouraged by the shift of liability for fraudulent transactions to retailers from January 1st 2005 under Europay-Mastercard-Visa rules. Roll-out in Scandinavia of EMV cards and devices is expected in 2004. The infrastructure is currently being put in place. 100,000 EMV cards have been issued in Finland and it is anticipated that over 50 percent of cards will be enabled with smart chips by the end of 2004. For Finland the move involves the introduction for the first time of PINPads at the point-of-sale. Finland will commence its first EMV pilot in early 2004.

About PayWare Smart 5000
The Smart 5000 is a high security embedded Linux PINPad that was specifically designed for busy, high-traffic multi-lane environments. Proven as a fast, open, multi-application product, it incorporates disability requirements, optional communications card slot for future needs, and a hybrid "swipe & park" reader. The specification provides 20MB memory as standard. This high technical specification, translates into freedom to add new applications over the product's life. In addition, its open development environment and fire-walling allow applications to be independently developed.
About PayWare Compact 950-PP

The Compact 950-PP is a proven device, with over 130,000 installed - it is a popular, easy to use device, now in its third generation. It is both Visa PED and EMV approved. The Compact 950 is being marketed for upgrade of terminals while the new Linux based Smart 5000 is aimed at busy point-of-sale environments where fast transaction speeds, easy integration with POS systems, and multi-application capabilities are required.

Trintech's OpenPay architecture as used in the Smart 5000 PINPad
Terminal has been awarded ZKA approval, one of the most stringent
security standards in the world

London, UK/Dallas, Texas - 19 November, 2003 - Trintech Group Plc
(NASDAQ: TTPA: Prime Standard: TTP), a leading provider of
transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today
announced that it has achieved ZKA (Zentraler Kreditausschuss)
approval for its OpenPay Architecture for use in the Smart 5000
PIN Pad terminal and it's new range of OEM payment security
technology products. This is the first approval of its kind for a
PIN Pad device using a LINUX open standard operating system. ZKA
is the German regulatory body responsible for all aspects of card
payments in Germany, and is widely acknowledged for setting the
most stringent PIN Pad testing standards in the world.

A key component of the approved OpenPay Architecture, Trintech's
OpenPay SPM (secure payment module), is now being licensed to
OEM manufacturers including ATM and kiosk vendors, and payment
and mobile device vendors. It is also used in Trintech's new
OpenPay 3000 range of outdoor and unattended payment terminals
for use in applications such as vending machines and "pay-at-
pump" applications.

This approval follows Trintech's success in achieving the UK's
first end-to-end EMV acquirer accreditation for an integrated
point-of-sale environment in April 2003. It also builds on
earlier certifications including Visa PED (PIN Entry Device)
certification, and EMV level 1 and level 2 certifications for
both its PayWare Smart 5000 and Compact 950 PIN Pad terminals.

Earlier this year, the Smart 5000 was also found, by the German
Savings Banks, to be fastest hybrid PIN Pad for Germany's PIN
based debit card scheme.

To achieve this ZKA approval, Trintech's Smart 5000 PIN Pad was
rigorously tested by T-Systems, a specialist test laboratory for
security devices. By meeting ZKA standards, the device meets or
exceeds many national requirements for PIN Pad security.

The widespread migration of card payments to PIN validation from
signature is a major deterrent against fraud. This migration
requires retailers to deploy PIN Pads that allow customers to
enter a PIN number instead of a signature.

Trintech, renowned for its expertise in PIN Pad security, posseses
an innovative product range, meeting the very highest security
standards. PayWare Smart 5000 and Compact 950 have advanced
tamper-proof and tamper responsive mechanisms to safeguard against
any physical or electronic attack and to help prevent the PIN
from being compromised.

"By achieving this approval, the OpenPay Architecture and the
Smart 5000 have now been approved as one of the most secure PIN
Pad devices in the market," said Eamon Keating, General Manager
of Trintech's Retail Division. "It strengthens the capability of
Trintech's OpenPay OEM security module and outdoor payment
technology portfolio. In addition, as the first to have a LINUX
operating system, it will have a market advantage by easing the
deployment of new secure payment applications."

About PayWare Smart 5000
Trintech's new PayWare Smart 5000 is an EMV certified PIN Pad
terminal that can be used in any type of point-of-sale system. It
is an ideal device for EMV upgrade of integrated multilane
electronic point of sale systems. It is easy to use, allowing for
both chip and magnetic swipe cards to be processed in a single
card reader. It also features high security PIN Pad enabling
customers to enter their PIN in confidence. Operating on an open
LINUX operating system running on a powerful ARM processor, the
device is fast and able to run multiple applications such as
loyalty and stored value.

Trintech completes successful certification with Visa International
for its' PayWare MPI 3-D Secure Merchant Plug-In

Dublin, Ireland/Dallas, Texas, 1 December 2003 - Trintech Group Plc
(NASDAQ: TTPA: Prime Standard: TTP), a leading provider of transaction
management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced that
State Bank of Mauritius (SBM), has implemented PayWare MPI to provide
payment authentication to SBM merchant customers under the Verified by
Visa and MasterCard SecureCode(tm) programs for Internet payments.

SBM's existing PayWare eCommerce environment includes Trintech's
PayWare Acquirer Internet payment gateway, which securely processes
card payment transactions on behalf of SBM web merchants. With the
addition of PayWare MPI, SBM merchants will benefit immediately by
offering Verified by Visa and SecureCode authentication services to
their customers, giving them instant protection from online fraud
losses. The inability to identify the cardholder is a major cause of
Internet card fraud. PayWare MPI uses the 3D secure protocol. This
protocol permits issuing banks to confirm a cardholder's identity by
requiring the cardholder to enter a password at the time the
transaction is processed, in the same way that a signature is
required when shopping in the high street.

As part of the implementation project at State Bank of Mauritius,
PayWare MPI successfully completed certification and interoperability
testing with Visa International. PayWare MPI is a standalone Merchant
Plug-In that supports 3-D Secure that can both complement Trintech's
existing PayWare Acquirer payment gateway, or can be used

independently by an acquirer with an existing in-house payment gateway.

"We are very pleased with the upgrade by Trintech of our acquiring
systems to support Visa and MasterCard's latest eCommerce standards,"
said Sailesh Sewpaul, Team Leader, Customer Service at State Bank of
Mauritius. "It is extremely important for all acquirers to work
towards eliminating Internet fraud. With the help of the Trintech team
we are confident that our PayWare solutions meet the industry's highest
security requirements."

"Authentication of identity remains one of the greatest challenges
facing the growth of online commerce today" said Tom Trainor, EVP of
Sales at Trintech. "The introduction of 3-D secure represents a
significant initiative by the banking community to combat fraud in
card-not-present purchases. State Bank of Mauritius is leading the
charge to eliminate merchant fraud. Trintech's PayWare Acquirer has
been efficiently and securely processing eCommerce transactions at
SBM's headquarters since February 2001. The installation of PayWare
MPI will ensure that SBM is now further protected against online
fraud."

About PayWare MPI
Trintech's PayWare MPI is a standalone Merchant Plug-in that supports
3-D Secure - the authentication protocol used by Verified by Visa and
MasterCard SecureCode. The product is targeted at Acquirers and
Payment Service Providers who wish to provide hosted 3-D Secure
authentication services to their merchants. PayWare MPI can both
complement Trintech's existing PayWare Acquirer gateway, or can be
used independantly by an acquirer with an existing in-house payment
gateway.

About State Bank of Mauritius
State Bank of Mauritius Ltd (SBM) Group is an integrated financial
services group - formerly known as The State Commercial Bank Ltd -
which began operations in 1973. SBM has continuously improved its
operating efficiencies and is today recognized as a dynamic, sound
and innovative group. SBM has a modern Information Technology (IT)
structure coupled with a flexible but flat structure and with a
customer-friendly business model that enables it to be most
efficient, with the lowest cost to income ratio in the Mauritian
banking industry. The Group has transformed from a bank that was
100 percent manual in 1989 to a fully automated real-time online
bank with over 93 percent of its eligible transactions conducted
through electronic channels.

SBM has three lines of business: Personal Banking, Business Banking
and Treasury, which it services through a network of 42 domestic
Service Units, 87 Bank's ATMs, coupled with Internet banking, PC
banking, e-commerce and over 1,000 Bank's POS terminals. SBM enjoys
a large market share in most banking segments, with a particular
emphasis in retail banking.

About Verified by Visa
Verified by Visa protects Member banks and e-merchants from the
costly effects of fraud. The service enables issuing banks to
verify the identities of cardholders, in real time, prior to
authorizing charges or debits for online purchases. The service is
complementary to Visa's Zero Liability policy, which protects
consumers by eliminating their liability for fraudulent purchases.
Verified by Visa goes one step further - preventing fraud from
occurring in the first place.

About MasterCard SecureCode
MasterCard SecureCode is an issuer-based security scheme that
takes advantage of MasterCard's UCAF infrastructure to protect
against fraud in an online transaction. MasterCard and Maestro
issuers can enjoy the simplicity of a completely client-less
architecture with no additional software and no download required.
Under MasterCard SecureCode, a cardholder's identity can be
confirmed using a variety of methods including passwords, smart
cards, and other methods that provide for cardholder mobility
without sacrificing security.
