Markus Jooste: I resigned because “I had enough” of all the tax investigations. Jooste didn’t think there was any need for a new forensic investigation (as Deloitte wanted) so “I wanted to force them to take the right decision for the company”.
Markus Jooste: I took my decision to resign in December when Steinhoff didn’t want to take my advice, and I’d had enough. Nothing to do with his “mistakes” apparently.
