Merrill Lynch says that they are refining the criteria for inclusion in their Nanotech Index; based on their new criteria for inclusion (co's which indicate in public documents that nanotech initiatives represent a significant component of their future business strategy), they have dropped 6 names and added 3 to the index, which now numbers 22 stocks. The additions are Combimatrix (CBMX), Novavax (NVAX), and Tegal (TGAL); and the deletions are Applied Films (AFCO), Caliper Life Sciences (CALP), Emcore (EMKR), Nanometrics (NANO), Three-Five Systems (TFS), and Universal Display (PANL).
