JP Morgan updates its Greek bank targets, but leaves earnings estimates and ratings unchanged. Alpha, Eurobank and NBG are rated at overweight while Piraeus has a neutral rating.
Alpha new end 2021 target is set at 1.20 euros from 1.10 euros previously, Eurobank at 0.80 euros vs 0.70 euros, NBG at 2.0 euros vs 1.80 euros and Piraeus at 1.10 euros vs 2.0 euros. JP cited Piraeus pending conversion of 2.04 billion euros contingent convertible instrument into ordinary equity.
JP believes that Alpha is in a favorable position to accelerate its path towards normalization, supported by a best-in-class capitalization that the bank intends to utilize in its accelerated NPE reduction strategy.
As regards as Eurobank with a front-loaded NPE reduction plan (with NPE ratio at <15% in 3Q20), Eurobank appears well positioned amidst the current environment with a higher quality balance sheet and more room for management to focus on value creating activities once the situation normalizes.
JPs positive view on NBG is predicated on the potential for the bank to reduce itsNPEs faster and simpler than peers.
While the outbreak of COVID-19 delays the story, we take comfort from NBG's relatively high balance sheet quality, with high coverage levels and solid capital ratios, argues.
JP continues to like Piraeus Banks operational turnaround story. That said, the banks weaker capital structure and the high NPE stock casts a shadow on the banks otherwise solid operational turnaround, but management is taking tangible steps to improve the situation, including the 7bn euros Phoenix and Vega securitizations, reckons.
Moreover, JP believes the removal of the CoCo risk will make the stock accessible to a wider range of long-term investors in the long-term who have so far been deterred by the CoCos existence in the capital stack.

Hallo Zusammen,
hier ist die Antwort von der Eurobank selbst... was die Cairo Aktien angeht, aus der Splittung der Eurobank damals...
Gruß Freenex...(Falls jemand Möglichkeiten hat, bitte melden)
Dear Mr ......,
We cannot assist you on your request. The Eurobank Cairo shares are traded on Athex Alternative Market (ENA) and not the main market (ATHEX Stock Exchange) and therefore cannot be converted to Eurobank common shares.
