Just a day after Alibaba and Tencent launched virtual credit cards, the central bank ruled that this line of business was too risky, according to state media.
In an additional blow, the central bank suspended mobile phone payments that are based on users swiping barcode-like QR symbols, which can be used for buying everything from cinema tickets to beer.

This bounce higher on Monday is quickly pushing shares of WBAI within range of triggering a near-term breakout trade. That trade will hit if WBAI manages to take out Monday's intraday high of $35.63 and then once it clears more resistance at $36.20 with high volume.
Traders should now look for long-biased trades in WBAI as long as it's trending above Monday's intraday low of $33.35 or above more near-term support levels at $32.82 to $32 and then once it sustains a move or close above those breakout levels with volume that hits near or above 376,644 shares. To better regulate the market, in January 2013, the government revised rules to allow companies to sell tickets on the Internet, through self-service terminals and on the telephone.
The regulations said the Internet companies were agencies, and that the lottery management centers in provinces around the country were in charge of actually issuing the tickets.It was common for people to spend a few hundred yuan on soccer lottery tickets during the World Cup, the source at 500.com said. But some of the gamblers were more aggressive he said. "Someone would buy 3 million yuan worth of tickets every morning."
Twenty percent of the total buyers were responsible for 80 percent of the sales on websites.
Buyers who win prizes many times are called "experts" by the websites, and they are the core resources for a company because they attract newcomers. After they win prizes, websites frequently offer them rebates.
Agents help attract people to bet on the gambling websites with servers overseas that are controlled by international gambling companies.
They attract buyers with close relationships to them, offering high returns, said a Beijing agent.
People can buy lottery tickets before the match only, but on websites people can get bets down during games.
"The ratio of betting before a match and during a match could be one to three," the 500.com source said. "Betting during a match is always the best way to hedge risks."
The gambling has its dark side. A man in the southern province of Guangdong jumped to his death after losing more than 1 million yuan.

As you can see, 500.com has fallen on some hard times in the past year. It's difficult to understand why, as apart from Muddy Waters coming out in September as short, there really isn't much negative news out there surrounding the company.
Quite the opposite, really, as both earnings statements and general reports on sports gambling in China will attest to the rapid growth of the industry, and 500.com remains among the industry leaders, and certainly the best positioned for what is admittedly an uncertain regulatory environment.
While buying 500.com in the $35-$40 range may have been a serious gamble, but at the current numbers it's really difficult to argue against the stock from a growth value position. Months of steady decline have turned 500.com into a rare contrarian growth play, and one that warrants some serious attention

In zwei Tagen wurde ein Viertel der ganzen Aktien umgesetzt und hat neue Besitzer. In den letzten Wochen und Tagen ist die ganze Firma mehrfach verkauft worden, sodass eigentlich alle Ängstlichen Zocker längt wieder draußen sind. Die Aktien scheinen in feste Hände zu wandern. Ein Großteil ist ohnehin in festen Händen. Es stehen anscheinend positive Neuigkeiten vor der Tür. Ansonsten kann ich mir diese Gier nicht vorstellen. Vielleicht wird die Suspension bald aufgehoben. Die Verluste ohne Umsätze scheinen gering zu sein im Vergleich zu den liquiden Mitteln von rund 130 Mio US $.

Summary
The Chinese online sports lottery service has been shut down by Beijing (jointly by multiple national agencies) for almost 2 months now, yet the stock has rallied 130% since!
Since reporting earnings on the morning of 5/19 that were entirely negative, the stock has run up over 40% in two days.

the company would currently trade at approximately 7.7x EV/Revenue and 22x Non-GAAP EPS for roughly flattish Y/Y growth. These numbers indicate that WBAI is at least modestly overvalued, even if it were currently still operating!
Conclusion
We believe some combination of anomalous factors have contributed in recent days to one of the sillier short squeezes we've seen. Even in a bull case, WBAI is overvalued. Summary
The Chinese online sports lottery service has been shut down by Beijing (jointly by multiple national agencies) for almost 2 months now, yet the stock has rallied 130% since!
Since reporting earnings on the morning of 5/19 that were entirely negative, the stock has run up over 40% in two days.

the company would currently trade at approximately 7.7x EV/Revenue and 22x Non-GAAP EPS for roughly flattish Y/Y growth. These numbers indicate that WBAI is at least modestly overvalued, even if it were currently still operating!
Conclusion
We believe some combination of anomalous factors have contributed in recent days to one of the sillier short squeezes we've seen. Even in a bull case, WBAI is overvalued. wenn man die Umsätze betrachtet, erkennt man,dass hier etwasim Gange ist. Bei 35 Mio Aktien sind nur rund 24Mio im float. davon ist auch ein hoher %-Satz in festen händen. Die verfügbaren Aktien wechselten in den letzten Tagen und Wochen vollkommen die Besitzer.Bei schwächeren Kursen wird kaum etwas abgegeben. Die Papiere sind zu hohen Kursen in festen neuen Händen. Fundamental ist die Firma zur Zeit schwer zu bewerten. Trotz Umsatzstillstand hat die Fa ca. 130 Mio EK und kann nach eigenen Aussagen so weitere 10 Jahre ohne neueUmsätze überleben.Das kann kaum eine andere Fa so einfach behaupten. Leider gibt es keine weiteren Informationen über die Suspension und die Zusammenarbeit mit der Regierung. Nachdem auch die Chinesen dieses Papier pushen, scheint dort ein Informationsvorsprung zu sein. Nach der charttechnik ergeben sich laufend neue Kaufsignale. Auf negative Kommentare reagiert die Aktie nichtmehr. Alle Informationen sind ohnehin unmittelbar in der aktie enthalten. Nach 100 oder 200% erscheint erst ein anfangspotential sich zu eröffnen. Man vergleiche z.B Vipshop, die mir seit 2 Jahren immer fundamental viel zu teuer war. Diese Aktie hat sich in 2 Jahren ver-50-igfacht! und nicht bei 2 schluss gemacht. Viel Spaß beim Beobachten an der Seitenlinie.
19,5$. Das ist ein enormer Vertrauensvorschuss. Preis gesamt 123 Mio $ verdoppelt fast das vorhandene EK. Insgesamt 41,5 Mio Shares mit einer Kapitalisierung von mehr als einer Mrd. $. Damit können Großinvestoren bald nicht mehr daran vorbei. Chinashares kommen bals ind den MCI-Index. Dami weitere Nachfrage. Nach der Charttechnik heißt alles KAUFEN mit Vollgas. Alle Nachrichten sind ohnehin unmittelbar im Kurs enthalten. Die Chinesen wissen anscheinend, dass bald die Geschäfte wieder laufen. Die fast 400 Mitarbeiter stehen sicher nicht still und entwickeln weitere Geschäftsideen. Damit hat die Fa. rund 250 Mio Bargeld in der Kassa.

ADR Aktien. Die "Fundamentalanalyse" ist hier durch die Chartanalyse "ersetzt worden. Die Skeptiker haben sich längst die Finger verbrannt. Wie heißt es doch so schön "The Trend is your friend!!" Yes it is. Langfristig ist das Lotterygeschäft in China eine "Bank". Mit dem Neuen CEO mit besten Kontakten zur Regierung werden bald wieder bessere "fundamentale" Nachrichten kommen.
