ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 21, 2007) - PERSHIMCO RESOURCES INC. (TSX VENTURE:PRO) is pleased to release a first batch of drill results from the recently completed winter 2007 diamond drill campaign at the Company's 100% owned Courville Gold Property, 60 km NE of the Val-d'Or Mining Camp in northern Quebec.
A total of 5,115 m representing 33 NQ-sized holes was drilled at Courville to date. The current drilling tested a 500 m extension of the Thibodeau Intrusive Complex (TIC), 350 m to the northwest and 150 m southeast, beyond the 250 m historically tested interval. The mineralization is now extended over a 750 m segment of the 3 km long TIC. Best interval results to date are as follows:

(i) Assays are pending for the remaining drill holes for the south-east extension PRO-07-18, and north-west extension PRO-07-09 to 12, 14 to 16, 21, and 23 to 33. There is no drill hole PRO-07-13. Intervals are given in core lengths, which are very close to actual true widths, since the mineralized zones are sub-horizontal. Assay protocols were outlined in the news release of March 15, 2007).
The gold bearing TIC was intersected in all 33 drill holes from near surface to a -150 meter vertical depth. Whenever intersected, the TIC was distinctly altered carrying 1-2% disseminated pyrite and up to 10% quartz stockworks. Lamprophyres (possibly dykes) are common along the southern boundary of the TIC. Assay results to date confirm the high grade-narrow and low grade-wider intervals in the new proposed geological model for the Courville Property (refer to news releases of March 15 and January 16, 2007), consistent with other active gold projects in the Abitibi and Frotet Greenstone belts, for example Osisko's (TSX-V: OSK) Canadian Malartic between 1.14 and 1.20 g/t, Inmet's (TSX: IMN) Troilus @ 1.09 g/t).
