Matamec Explorations Inc. ("Matamec") (TSX VENTURE: MAT) is proud to announce the completion of a private placement with the MineralFields Group for gross proceeds of $840,000 consisting of a total of 4,200,000 flow-through units at a price of
.20 per unit. The private placement closed on June 21, 2010. Each flow-through unit consists of one (1) flow-through common share and one half of one (1/2) common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles the holder thereof to subscribe for one (1) common share at a price of
.40 for a period of 24 months.
The funds will be allocated mainly for exploration of the REE-Y-Zr Zeus property. More specifically, the Company will be able to carry out a new drilling program and the metallurgical testing will continue on the Kipawa deposit. Also, Matamec will begin the environmental base study for the area.
Matamec paid a 5% cash finder's fee to Limited Market Dealer ($42,000) and issued non-transferable options equal to 10% of the number of units sold under the offering on the same terms as the subscriber's units. Wär nicht schlecht jetzt noch ein paar gute Treffer oben drauf zu hauen, 800.000$ sind nicht die Welt. Reicht vielleicht so grade für dieses Jahr. Immerhin hat Mat es geschaftt ein PP für 0.20Cad in kürzester Zeit zu platzieren und das ist ja schon mal was. Das nächste dann aber bitte für mind. 0.40 ;)

und der Kurs steht bei 0,16 C-$?! Der Rohstoffmarkt ist momentan nach wie vor "out". Das dürfte sich wie jedes Jahr ab III/2010 ändern. Mit einem Kauf auf hiesigem Niveau kann man m. E. langfristig nichts falsch machen. Matamec entwickelt sich sehr positiv und der Kurs "lungert" in den Niederungen. Muss wie gesagt an der "saure Gurken" Zeit liegen.

daß die KE aufgrund des PP vorerst verschoben wurde. Auch wenn ich nicht mehr weiss, ob die KE für die Exploration des REE-Y-Zr Zeus Claim geplant war. Wenn man sich fürs erste auf diesen Abschnitt konzentriert wäre zunächst keine KE nötig, oder?

es werden auch in der Zeit einige neue Bohrergebnisse präsentiert werden. Der Privatinvestor, der immerhin knapp 850.000$ auf den Tisch gelegt hat und 20cent/share bezahlt hat, wird wissen warum. Diese Kursschwankungen bei einem Explorer im Frühstadium sind völlig normal. Kann bis hin zum Totalverlust oder zum 1000%ter gehen. Dessen muss man sich halt immer bewusst sein. Ich bin selber nur mit einer rel. kleinen Posi drin und schau auch gar nicht großartig auf den Kurs. Richtig interessant wirds hier wahrscheinlich auch erst im Herbst/Winter.

Wie wir etwas früher in diesem Jahr schon angekündigt hatten, geht es bei den so genannten Seltenen Erden jetzt so langsam ans Eingemachte. Der Grund dafür liegt in der Ankündigung Chinas, seine Seltenen Erden - Exporte für das zweite Halbjahr 2010 von 28.417 Tonnen auf nur noch 7.976 Tonnen zu reduzieren. Das bedeutet eine Kappung der Exporte um 72%! Was ist daran weltbewegend? - Werden Sie fragen. Diese Nachricht ist in der Tat weltbewegend, weil sie uns alle betreffen wird.
Denn China fördert aktuell über 90% aller Seltenen Erden weltweit. Und Seltene Erden sind essentiell und bislang nicht ersetzbar für den Bau von Smartphones, Hybridautos und vielen weiteren High-Tech-Gerätschaften. Apple (iPod) und Toyota (Prius) dürften in Kürze ziemlich ins Schwitzen kommen, denn es droht ihnen ein Produktionsstillstand bei den genannten Produkten und damit verbunden erhebliche Umsatzeinbußen.
Diese beiden Unternehmen sind jedoch nur die Spitze des Eisberges, da Seltene Erden mittlerweile in so vielen Geräten Einzug finden, dass inklusive Zulieferfirmen etc. ganze Volkswirtschaften von ihnen abhängig sind. könnte doch einige potentielle investoren auf den plan rufen. trotzdem bleibt das risiko bei so einem kleinen explorer enorm hoch, dafür aber auch die chance auf einen event. vervielfacher. cash ist ja jetzt ein wenig vorhanden. für dieses jahr sollte es erstmal reichen und dann mal sehen. vielleicht kommt ja noch toyota mit ins spiel ;)

Lynas hatte Finanzierungsprobleme, die durch die Schaffung von Eigenkapital gelöst werden konnten. Lynas wird zu Beginn des kommenden Jahres die Produktion in Malaysia aufnehmen. Die Rohstoffe werden bereits jetzt in Australien auf Halde gefördert.
Was willst du damit konkret jetzt ausdrücken. Es gibt da unterschiedliche Ansätze. Würde mich im Hinblick auf Matamec interessieren. Danke

Some of the reasons I like this HREE play over others is because:
1) they have a good deposit confirmed open at depth and length

roads, electricity, smelters, and skilled labour are all right there, so the cost of production should be extremely low compared to other projects...

TM: I started the mineral exploration in Kipawa, Quebec, for Molycorp in the mid-1980s. Kipawa is enriched with the mineral eudialyte, which means "well decomposable" in Greek. I was able to establish that eudialyte contained yttrium and HREEs in anomalous amounts.
A number of years ago Matamec Explorations Inc. (TSX.V:MAT) , a Canadian company from Québec, acquired the mineral rights on Kipawa. I've been basically working with Matamec and they are beginning to get some very interesting results....
