AMSTERDAM -(Dow Jones)- Dutch telecommunications company Royal KPN NV (KPN) has sold part of its 52% stake in Internet provider Euroweb International Corp.(NASDAQ-SMALL:EWEB) (EWEB), according to a filing by KPN at the U.S. Secutities and Exchange Commission.
Between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 KPN has sold 53,200 shares on the open market at a price between $4.35 and $4.15 a share. This values the transaction at around $ 0.4 million.
A KPN spokesman said the company will continue to sell off its stake, but he declined to reveal KPN's current stake in Euroweb.
KPN earlier indicated that it would dispose of its stake in the Internet provider because its a non-core activity.
