Anvil Mining NL ("Anvil") announces further significant progress on the construction
works for Stage I of the development of the Dikulushi Project in the Democratic Republic
of Congo ("DRC"). The project is now 90% complete and the completion date has been
pushed out by approximately 20 days to mid-September as a result of logistic delays
arising from the barge construction stage, which were not made up as anticipated.
Open Pit Mining
Open pit mining at Oikulushi is now well ad
a 30 tonne excavator, five articulated d
earthmoving equipment in operation. The
exposing the massive high-grade chalcocite
the first stage open pit has been removed and
Heavy Media Separation Plant
The erection of the Heavy Media Separation Plant was completed at the end of July and
all piping, mechanicals and electricals had been installed by the first week of August. The
stockpile areas for the sinks and floats are nearing completion.
Crusher Circuit
The installation of the crusher circuit, comprising a jaw crusher and two cone crushers is
approximately 90% complete. The stockpile tunnel is in place and the inlet and discharge
conveyors have been erected. The mechanical and electrical installation is underway. The
ROM wall is complete and the ROM pad is approximately 80% complete.
Assay Laboratory
The assay laboratory being established on site by SGS-Analabs of Perth, is approximately
90% complete.
Kilwa-Dikulushi Access Road
The formation of the 54krn section of road from site to Kilwa on Lake Moero is
completed with 50mm of rolled laterite sheeting now in place over the entire length of the
access road.
