Nordex Explosives Ltd. develops, manufactures, distributes, and resells explosive products for the mining, quarry, and road construction industries in Canada. Its products include NorANFO and NorANFO WR, which are blasting agents blend of ammonium nitrate and fuel oil; and emulsion products, such as booster sensitive and detonator sensitive emulsions used for mining, quarry, and construction blasting, as well as Riogur Presplit, a cap-sensitive watergel explosive designed for contour and presplit blasting applications. The company also provides initiating systems comprising electric, non-electric, and electronic detonators that are designed to provide precise control necessary for consistent blasting results in various blasting applications; dynamite products consisting of gelatin dynamite and gelatinuos type dynamite; and specialty products, such as Cone Paks for blasting over-size boulders at the draw point or in an open pit, as well as NorStem, a non-explosive gelled stemming slurry. In addition, it offers various accessories, such as cast boosters, detonating cord, and noiseless lead line. Further, the company holds various mining claims covering 529 hectares in the Township of Melba located north of Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
