Ein Lebenszeichen vor den Zahlen

05.03.14 15:54
SAN MATEO, CA, Mar 05, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) -- Armco Metals Holdings, Inc. ("Armco Metals Holdings") (nyse mkt:AMCO), a U.S. based company that engages in the import, sale, and distribution of metal ore and non-ferrous metals in the People's Republic of China, recycles scrap metals used by steel mills in the production of recycled steel and provides sourcing and pricing services for various metals to its network of customers, today announced that its Armco (Lianyungang) Renewable Metals, Inc. subsidiary ("Renewable Metals") has entered into a steel scrap supply agreement with Mitsui & Co. (Shanghai) Ltd. ("Mitsui Shanghai"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd., ("Mitsui & Co.") whose business covers energy, machinery, chemicals, food, textile, logistics, finance, and more on a global scale.

Under the terms of the agreement, Renewable Metals will serve as Mitsui Shanghai's vendor for sourcing, processing and supplying scrap metals with various specifications and standards. Mistui Shanghai has also agreed to advance payment for the joint purchase of raw materials and complete final purchase of the steel scrap upon completion of processing services. This newly applied purchasing business model for Renewable Metals is designed to better enforce its supply agreements with customers and lower business risk.

As a subsidiary of one of the largest general trading companies in Japan, Mitsui Shanghai has estimated purchase plans for approximately 15,000 to 20,000 metric tons of steel scrap on a monthly basis. In addition to the potential for significant recurring revenue, the advance purchase terms of this agreement will help to substantially improve cash flow for funding Armco Metals Holdings' daily operations and future expansion plans. Armco Metals Holdings sees this relationship with Mitsui Shanghai having further expansion opportunity for the company into Japan and other potential markets throughout the world due to Mitsui & Co.'s global industrial distribution footprint.

Commenting on the announcement, Kexuan Yao, Chairman and CEO of Armco Metals Holdings, stated, "We look forward to a successful partnership with Mitsui & Co. as we expand our steel scrap distribution channels to Japan. We appreciate this opportunity to establish a long term business relationship with one of the largest general trading companies in the world, and we intend to work diligently to support Mitsui & Co. in their efforts to help us achieve significant sales growth in fiscal 2014 and beyond."

Next Surprise Breakout ?

01.04.14 16:30
t's still too soon to put it in your portfolio, but Armco Metals Holdings Inc. (NYSE:AMCO) most definitely deserves a place on your watchlist. This Chinese metal stock is poised for a breakout move. It just needs the right nudge, and a little help on a certain front to let AMCO take flight.

Yes, Armco Metals Holdings relies heavily on demand from Chinese metal users, and with economic worries starting to surface in and around the country, demand for steel could wane. As has been the case far more often than not in recent years, however, those worries have more bark than bite. Translation: AMCO should be fine.

In support of that idea is the fact that steel prices have remained strong - and even gotten stronger - over the past twelve months, even if steel stocks haven't. Specifically, steel prices have advanced from $100 per tonne in July of last year to about $380 per tonne this month. While rolled steel (hot and cold) have tapered off a little more than raw steel have of late, they're also tapering off from multi-month highs hit in February. Iron ore prices have been pretty centered at $125 per tonne since this time last year. Iron ore is stable at $150 per tonne. Point being, if China's consumption were drying up and/or Armco Metals Holdings was being thrown into a situation that wasn't favorable, it would have shown up on steel price charts already. It hasn't happened, though.

So what needs to happen to make AMCO a buy? It needs to clear a major resistance line at $0.57. That level has kept the lid on the last three breakout efforts from Armco Metals Holdings Inc. (since October of last year), and the $0.57 level was pretty much where the stock topped in early 2013 too. At the same time, the stock's horizontal ceiling has been matched by a horizontal support line around $0.25, since late 2012. The net result is a chart that's been doing nothing but moving sideways for the better part of two years. Take a look.

Though the stock hasn't budged in a long while, that's not to say things haven't been brewing - there's two years' worth of pent-up bullishness that needs to be let out. Once it's unleashed, it's all apt to be unleashed in a hurry, much like the pent-up energy of a slingshot is rapidly unleashed when the pocket is released, propelling a rock or a small ball a major distance in a short period of time.

As far what suggests Armco Metals Holdings Inc. shares will be hurdled upward rather than downward when-and-if the trading range finally lets go is the massive volume we've seen materialize behind the bullishness from AMCO we've seen in two of the past three weeks. There are a lot of buyers here, which was one of the missing ingredients with prior breakout attempts.

Bottom line? Keep Armco Metals Holdings handy, looking out for a move above $0.57. That could be what opens the floodgates.

Armco Metals, Midland Resources enter into steel scrap supply agreement
Armco Metals announced that it entered into a steel scrap supply agreement with Midland Resources, a Hong Kong-based joint venture with Shagang Steel Group. Midland serves as the exclusive agent for Shagang Steel for the sale of its steel products in the Hong Kong markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Armco Metals will act as a sourcing agent for Midland to import steel scrap into China. The agreement also enables Midland to utilize its import licenses and financing capabilities to import steel scrap for direct processing by Armco Metals. Processing under this method would substantially improve Armco Metal's cash flow and expand its processing capabilities. Armco Metals sees this as a significant first step in becoming a processing base for both Midland and Shagang Steel.

Nice article in recycling today about a week ago...

Research firm says China's recycling industry will generate more than $150 billion in activity by 2018.

BCC Research, based in Wellesley, Massachusetts, says about $103 billion in recycling-related economic activity occurred in China in 2013, down slightly from $107.5 billion in 2012.
In its newly released report, Recycling Markets in China, the research firm forecasts China's recycling market will "grow to nearly $156 billion by 2018,and register a five-year compound annual growth rate of 8.7 percent from 2013 to 2018.”

Recycling sectors studied in the report include ferrous and nonferrous metals, plastic, paper, electronic scrap, end-of-life vehicles, scrap tires and ship dismantling.

The report’s authors, Jason Chen and Li Baijun, say the Chinese government “has put the recycling industry high on its development agenda for the next decade” and “increasing environmental concerns and governmental regulation will significantly grow in this market over the near term.”

Recycling Markets in China provides an analysis of the Chinese recycling market and evaluates information on the challenges the industry faces that must be addressed as well as information concerning opportunities that can be leveraged. As well, the report's authors say it offers “comprehensive profiles of major players in the industry.”

Na - nun werden auch mal wieder erfolgreiche Sales-contracts veröffentlich - bitte weiter so...........

FOSTER CITY, CA / ACCESSWIRE / November. 24, 2014 / Armco Metals Holdings, Inc. ("Armco Metals Holdings") (NYSE MKT: AMCO), a distributor of imported metal ores and a steel recycler in China, today announced that its Armco Metals International, Inc. subsidiary ("Armco International") executed a sales contract valued $9.58 million with Bao Steel Resources International Company Limited ("Bao Steel Resources") for steel billets selling.

Under the terms of the agreement, Armco International would sell steel billets in an amount of 20,000 Metric Tons to Bao Steel Resources with total contract value of $9.58 million. The shipment for the total amount of the cargo under the contract was made in the week of November 17, 2004 as per the contract. The destination of the shipment is Yanbu Commercial Seaport, Saudi Arabia. It is the first transaction between Armco International and Bao Steel Resources for steel billets sales and we expect more business for steel billets between two parties if the first transaction goes smoothly.

Registered in Hong Kong, Bao Steel Resources is focused on and specialized in global market for steel products and a wholly owned subsidiary of Bao Steel Group. Bao Steel Group is one of the biggest and top-ranking steel companies in China.

Commenting on the announcement, Kexuan Yao, Chairman and CEO of Armco Metals Holdings, stated, “While keep confident in our metal ore trading and recycling business, management has been making efforts to diversify our product line and develop new profitable products into our business line. In additional to the newly-developed wood chips product disclosed previously, in 2014 so far our business development team also has made significant progresses on the trading for steel billets which is targeted not only Chinese domestic market but also global market. Given that our trading business usually only make sales in Chinese domestic market in the past, the success of this transaction for steel billets sales to overseas market will be a milestone for our trading business as we believe this product will extend our trading business sales globally and offer a great opportunity to us to step in global market while Chinese domestic market is still sluggish. As we already see measured progress in the third quarter of 2014, we are excited about the new global market opportunity and aim to achieve year-round profit”.

Direct delivery means Armco (Lianyungang) rents their equipments to some of their suppliers with good credit who process the raw materials on their own yard as required and deliver the processed good to our customers directly, by which logistic lost reduces, sales revenue increases and market share improves. Many progresses are being made since the latter half of year 2014.

Ming, CSG, Goldrooster).

Zudem sind die U.S. Börsen deutlich strenger und hätten solche Gesellschaften schon lange dekotiert. Passiert etwas, leiten zudem U.S. Anwaltsfirmen Class Actions ein.

Chinas scrap metal

03.09.15 13:09
China’s scrap metal poses major problem for iron ore miners

The world’s biggest producers of iron ore have a problem, and it lies in the steel that has already gone into China’s cars, bridges and skyscrapers.

Over the past decade, China has accumulated more steel than any other economy in the world. And because steel can be endlessly recycled, the country’s steelmakers are likely to turn increasingly to scrap instead of the iron ore mined by the likes of BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Anglo American.

BHP Billiton, the world’s biggest miner, yesterday lowered its long-run forecast for peak China steel demand to between 935 million and 985 million tonnes from one billion to 1.1 billion tonnes. China’s annual production is currently at about 800 million tonnes.

This historic glut of Chinese steel, and concerns over the country’s economic prospects, have hurt prices for iron ore, the biggest ingredient in steelmaking. The commodity has fallen to roughly $US50 a tonne from $US190 a tonne in 2011, squeezing the profits — and share prices — of the world’s biggest mining companies. The S&P mining index has declined to 18.33 from above 70 over that stretch.

China accumulated so much steel so rapidly that the total amount of steel in the economy and available for recycling now stands far beyond the level that would be typical for an economy its size, at around five tonnes per capita, according to analysis by Morningstar.

In adjusted gross domestic product per capita, China now matches Japan’s level of development in 1968. At that time, the Japanese economy had 2.9 tonnes of steel per capita. A comparison with the US, which was at China’s current level in the 1940s, isn’t relevant because American cities are more horizontal and have more wood-based homes.

China’s appetite for iron ore led global mining companies to invest billions in new mines during the last decade, which are now contributing to the oversupply as demand slows. From Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton’s massive open-pit facilities in Australia to Anglo American’s 500 kilometre slurry pipeline in the Brazilian jungle, companies bet big on massive mines, railroads and ports.

Global capital spending by miners surged from around $US35 billion in 2000 to over $US200 billion in 2012, before slipping back to around $US150 billion, according to SNL Metals.

On Tuesday, after BHP reported an 86 per cent dive in profit for the year ended in June, chief executive Andrew Mackenzie said the mining company expected China’s broader economy to pick up in the second half, meeting its 7 per cent overall growth for 2015.

Interest-rate cuts, along with moves to support the property market and infrastructure spending, should buttress growth for the rest of the year, he said. Despite the reduced outlook for peak steel demand, Mr Mackenzie said China’s leaders had a clearly articulated strategy, and that his company had adapted accordingly.

But as construction cools in China, the country is starting to export more of the steel it makes: its exports increased 27 per cent during the first seven months of the year, to 62.1 million tonnes, and are expected to top 100 million tonnes this year, up from 53 million tonnes in 2013, according to Global Trade Information Services.

At some point next year, Chinese steel exports will surpass the total production of the world’s second-biggest steelmaker, Japan.

And in the next decade, as the country’s consumers and businesses start recycling their first generation of containers, cars and appliances, the steel glut will be compounded.

China’s scrap production currently amounts to around 10 per cent of its total steel output, compared with two-thirds for the US. Analysts expect its scrap production to start taking off toward the start of next decade.

Surging Chinese exports have contributed to global oversupply, diluting steel prices around the world. In the US, steelmakers have filed three requests for protective import tariffs on steel from China and other countries. US Steel Corp and ArcelorMittal, two of the biggest steelmakers in the US, have closed plants and laid off thousands of workers.

“China is moving from commodity importer to exporter,” Ugur Dalbeler, CEO of Turkish steelmaker Colakoglu Metalurji, said in an interview. “And it’s a problem every steelmaker outside of China now has to cope with.”

leider hast Du recht.
