MOUNTAIN VIEW, (Dow Jones)--OpenTV Corp. (OPTV, news, msgs) acquired Spyglass Inc. (SPYG, news, msgs) in a stock swap.
In a press release Monday, the company said stockholders of Spyglass will get 0.7236 of an OpenTV Class A ordinary share for each share of Spyglass common stock.
On March 26, it was reported that OpenTV signed an agreement to buy Spyglass for stock valued at $2.5 billion. At that time, Spyglass shares were valued at $122.28, with about 17.1 million shares outstanding. OpenTV shares were worth $169, with 43.8 million outstanding.
OpenTV is a provider of software, services and applications for digital interactive television.
Spyglass provides Internet consulting, software and professional services.
