Biotechsektor: Aktie steigt in 4 Tagen um 288%

Der Entwickler von immun-basierenden therapeutischen Produkten Hemispherx Biopharma steigt um 30.51 Prozent auf 2.31 Dollar. Taglich Brothers vergaben für die Aktie am Montag ein Kursziel von 25 Dollar. Seither stieg die Aktie von 80 cents um 288 Prozent.

Hemispherx bietet therapeutische Produkte zur Behandlung von HIV (AIDS) und für das chronische Erschöpfungssyndrom (CFS) an.

Die Analysten von Taglich Brothers erhöhten am Montag die Empfehlung für die Aktie von "spekulativ kaufen" auf "kaufen." Das Kursziel wurde von 13.75 auf 25 Dollar erhöht.

Der Umsatz im ersten Jahr durch das Produkt Ampligen für die Anwendungsbereiche HIV und CFS soll im ersten Jahr 160 Millionen Dollar betragen, nimmt man an, dass lediglich eine Marktpenetration von 0.5 Prozent durchzusetzen sei. Taglich Brothers bemisst die Wahrscheinlichkeit einer Marktzulassung für Ampligen in den USA und Europa auf 90 Prozent.

Ich hab HEB.AMEX aufgenommen, ist ja wirklich nicht übel derzeit. Freitag gings
bei 1,2 Millionen Umsätzen wieder 8% hoch.

Ich habe übrigens auf Empfehlung von Taglich-Brothers Nexmed um 4 Dollar gekauft, Kurs derzeit 1,80 Dollar, und sitze das Ding noch ein paar Jahre aus, wenn ich Pech habe.
Nexmed hat eine Potenzsalbe für den Penis als Hoffnungsträger im Programm.
Dieses Produkt darf in Asien bereits verkauft werden, hat aber von der FDA noch keine Zulassung bekommen. Das Geld wird auch immer knapper bei Nexmed, ist ne riskante Sache wie alle Biotechs, Totalverlust nicht ausgeschloosen.
Senetek entwickelt ein ähnliches Potenzmittel, wird ebenfalls von Taglich empfohlen und auch von Heiko Thieme. Investoren haben aber bis jetzt reichlich Kohle in den Sand gesetzt mit Senetek.
BASI steht bei mir auch der WL, ebenfalls von Taglich gecovert und der Wert
verliert ständig. Ist aber trotzdem ne interessante Story und ich denke jetzt
über einen Kauf unter 3 Dollar nach.

Taglich Brothers vergeben immer marktschreierische Kursziele musst Du wissen.
Die sind noch heftiger drauf als Förtsch. Für eine Aktie wie Hemispherx, die
von 7 Dollar auf 1 Dollar runtergeknallt ist, ein Kursziel von 25 Dollar auszugeben ist unseriös, oder etwa nicht?

Das Kursziel für Nexmed liegt laut Taglich-Brothers bei 30 Dollar, Kurs derzeit
1,80 !

Und zu guter letzt Vestin Group, da sind die Taglich Brüder auch schon lange am Ball, gefälllt mir auch sehr gut, zu mal hier der Chart passt.

AMITYVILLE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 2002--Hi-Tech Pharmacal, Co., Inc. (NASDAQ: HITK, news) reported today sales and net income for the first quarter of fiscal 2003 ended July 31, 2002.



For the three months, the company reported sales of $8,829,000, a 50% increase from $5,893,000 for the same period last year. Net income increased 96% to $944,000, or $0.19 per share compared to $481,000, or $0.10 per share for the same period last year.

Commenting on the results, David Seltzer, President and CEO said, "We are extremely pleased with our sales and net income numbers for the quarter ended July 31, 2002. The significant growth in net sales is the result of increased demand for our generic prescription product line in all classes of trade. In particular, the Company has been awarded significant contracts for several of its generic prescription products by managed care customers and the United States government. An additional factor which contributed to our growth was the successful introduction of new branded products for people with diabetes. The substantial growth in net income can be attributed to the higher gross profit margins which result from our continued focus on higher margin prescription generic products, increased productivity, and effective marketing.

Eskimato, was meinst Du zu ORchid?

Orchid Biosciences meldet im abgelaufenen dritten Quartal einen Umsatzanstieg von $7,4 auf $16,9 Millionen Dollar, während der Verlust von $41,8 oder $1.06 je Aktie auf $22,2 Millionen oder $0.40 je Aktie verringert werden konnte. Vor Abzug von Einmaleffekten meldete Orchid einen Verlust je Aktie von 15 cents. Der Umsatz im vierten Quartal soll zwischen $15-16 Millionen und im Gesamtjahr 2002 bei $65 Millionen liegen. Seit meiner Vorstellung von Medifast bei 2 Dollar ist der Wert weiter auf 6 Dollar
gelaufen.
Gehört zu den ganz grossen Shooting-Stars der amerikanischen Börse, ich hatte die
letzten Zahlen vom 06.11.02 eingestellt, Net-Income +340% , solche Zahlen werden nach
wie vor belohnt, Medifast war gestern mal wieder stärkster Wert an der NYSE mit 20%
im Plus.

Die werden allerdings weggekauft wie warme Semmeln. Hast wahrscheinlich auch gesehen wie INGN innerhalb von kurzer Zeit explodiert ist.
Nur die Endung GN weckt Hoffnungen.

Hast Du  Dir den Chart und die News von ANTR angesehen, da bin ich drin seit Grueni die Teile in der 22 KW im Depotwettbewertb reingenommen hat. Ich dachte mir, wenn Grueni reingeht, schaue ich mir das mal an, war nicht verkehrt, bin noch unter 0,70 reingekommen.

Es läuft bei den Bios, nen heisser Turnaroundplay ist PHLI! Da ist heute frisches Geld eingetrudelt. Ach Du machst selber so geniale Deals, LJPC grüsst.

Ein Freund von Zacks zu sein, ist bisher auch selten  verkehrt gewesen, SPPI in den letzten 4 Tagen...

ich bin bei Biotechs mittlerweile sehr skeptisch. Ehrlich gesagt befürchte ich dieselbe Lage wie bei den Internetwerten. Die Frage ist nämlich, in wie weit sich dieser Sektor wirklich behaupten kann - wie bekannt ist ja das grosse Los eines jedes Unternehmens das Patent und davon gibt es doch recht wenig. Und Forschung ist nun mal ein sehr risikoreiches Unternehmen. Dadurch steht vorallem der Biotechsektor in direkter Konkurrenz zu Universitäten, die meistens auch intensive Forschung in sämtlichen Sparten der Biomedizin betreiben. Meist ist diese Forschung gesponsert von staatlichen Geldern oder häufig auch von den Global Playern der Biotechnologie. Ich sehe einfach sehr viel Luft wenn ich mir die Profile der Unternehmen anschaue und einige Bekannte von mir, die in diesem Sektor arbeiten oder forschen bestätigen diese Ansicht. Allerdings bin ich in meiner Meinung auch nicht wirklich 100 prozent sicher, ich würde daher gerne wissen was du / ihr davon haltet? Wie langfristig denkt ihr bei eurer Anlage?? Ich finde es nämlich ziemlich genial wie eure ausgesuchten Werte derzeit perfomen und ich glaube auch das ihr viel Recherche für die Auswahl betreibt! Daher gratuliere ich auch noch mal ganz dicke...

ich war doch nie weg!:-) Hab häufig noch reingeschaut, und einfach mal gelesen. Ganz in Ruhe und ganz ausgewählt. Und natürlich ist der doc auf meiner Favoriten Liste...
bin leider nicht in Deutschland...bin jetzt in Toronto gelandet:)

VaxGen Submits Proposal to Produce Up to 75 Million Doses of Anthrax Vaccine; Discontinues Plague Vaccine Program  


BRISBANE, Calif., Apr 28, 2004 (PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX) -- VaxGen
announced today that it has submitted a proposal to the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services (HHS) describing its plan to provide up to 75 million
doses of its recombinant anthrax vaccine to the U.S. strategic national
stockpile of biodefense products. The HHS has indicated that it intends to award
purchase contracts for such a vaccine on or about August 9, 2004.

VaxGen has already received two contracts from the National Institute of Allergy
and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to develop its recombinant anthrax vaccine
candidate. The contracts are valued at more than $100 million. The company is
also developing an attenuated smallpox vaccine in partnership with the
Chemo-Sero Research Institute (Kaketsuken) of Kumamoto, Japan.

Additionally, VaxGen announced that it has discontinued early-stage development
of a recombinant plague vaccine after the NIAID elected not to provide research
and development funding for this vaccine. The company's decision will have no
effect on the development of its other product candidates.
