"..... und kein Kind im Kongo wird wegen Elektroautos versklavt. All diese Propaganda-Mittel werden nur dazu eingesetzt um von den Fakten ab zu lenken."
Was sind denn die Fakten, von denen diese Propaganda-Mittel ablenken soll?
Ich könnte dir schon ein paar Fakten anbieten, von denen abgelenkt werden soll:
>Demand for electric vehicles is fuelling a rise in child labour in cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo, experts said, urging companies to take action as the industry expands. Cobalt is a key component in batteries for electric cars, phones and laptops, and DRC provides more than half of global supply. Tens of thousands of children as young as six dig for the toxic substance in artisanal mines in the country's southeast, without protective clothing, rights groups say. (1)
>UNICEF estimated in 2014 that approximately 40,000 boys and girls work in all the mines across southern DRC, many of them involved in cobalt mining. The children interviewed by researchers described the physically demanding nature of the work they did. They said that they worked for up to 12 hours a day in the mines, carrying heavy loads, to earn between one and two dollars a day. (2)
>In 2019, the Democratic Republic of the Congo made no advancement in efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor. (3)
>Though the estimates of children working in these mines vary widely, the DOL report cites one estimate that as many as 35,000 of the DRC's 255,000 artisanal cobalt miners are children. It concludes that these informal or illegal ASM operations [are] leaving children uniquely exposed to hazardous working conditions and, in some instances, forced labor. (4)
>Fortunately, some mostly European companies have begun to come together in this way to wrestle with these daunting challenges. They have joined a new initiative called the Cobalt Action Partnership, whose objective is to create industry-wide human rights standards and metrics, as well as a system to implement those standards and assess compliance. Among the leaders of this collective effort are German automakers BMW and Volkswagen, battery material manufacturer BASF, and Trafigura.... American automakers are notably missing from this table, including Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, and Tesla. (5)
Auf jeden Fall sind Aussagen zum Thema Kinder/Congo/Cobalt von Amnesty International, UNICEF, World Economic Forum, US Department of Labour u.a. glaubwürdiger, als deine unbelegte Behauptungen.
