NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - SiRF Technology Holdings Inc. reported
third-quarter adjusted earnings, which excludes non-recurring items, of $17.6
million, or 29 cents a share, exceeding the mean estimate of analysts surveyed
by Thomson Financial of 22 cents a share.
Including special items, the company reported a net loss of $16.1 million,
or 28 cents a share, compared with net income of $2.6 million, or 5 cents a
share, in the same period a year ago.
Revenue rose to $91.2 million from last year's $63.7 million, topping
analyst forecasts of $85.7 million, as growth in product revenue offset a
decline in license royalty revenue.
Shares of the San Jose, Calif. maker of semiconductor and software products
closed Tuesday at $23.30.
