In the last press release, Silverado calls the coal/water sludge "coal - to - liquid fuel". This is a lie. Grinding up a solid and mixing it with water does not make it a "liquid". The proper term is "slurry", but I prefer "sludge", since the word "sludge" implies that it is useless, which it is.
The Silverado process is to grind up coal, mix it with water, heat it, and add a little wax. That is all. Anyone can do this process, and there is no patent. No one wants to do it because it creates a useless sludge that is much less efficient than burning dry coal.
The Silverado process is definitely NOT the Fischer-Tropsch process of turning coal or natural gas into a real liquid fuel. Anyone who does not realize this has not done their homework.
