Was bedeutet dies nun für Ch11., auf www.kccllc.net habe ich bezüglich dieses Planes nichts gefunden. Bzw. welche Dokumente auf www.kccllc.net würde er betreffen?
Verbessert sich nun die Wirtschaftliche Lage von Ambac so fundamental, dass sie alle Ihre Verbindlichkeiten begleichen können?

Wisconsin Court OKs Ambac Rehab Plan

Ambac Assurance Corp.’s rehabilitation plan was accepted Tuesday by a Wisconsin state court.

Judge William D. Johnston, of the Dane County Circuit Court, said the plan satisfied all applicable requirements of Wisconsin law and was more favorable to policyholders, creditors and the public than alternative regulatory options.

Once the second-biggest bond insurer, Ambac ran into serious trouble in late 2007 because of decaying credit quality in its structured finance policies, which included contracts guaranteeing to cover losses on mortgage bonds and credit default swaps.

Sean Dilweg, whose four-year tenure as commissioner of the Wisconsin insurance department concluded earlier this month, proposed the rehab plan in October.

The accepted plan gives segregated account policyholders a quarter of their claims in cash and 75% in notes backed by the company’s surplus. The notes bear a 5.1% coupon and mature in 2020.

The segregated account includes $50 billion of Ambac’s riskiest insured policies. Dilweg created the account in March and froze its assets to stop the company from hemorrhaging cash.

“We look forward to implementing the plan for the benefit of all policyholders,” said Ted Nickel, the new commissioner of insurance.

Nickel said the 25-to-75 ratio of cash to notes could be adjusted annually depending on Ambac’s liabilities and claims-paying resources.

die amis drehen schon durch das zeigt das es hier heute fett nach norden geht.

wir sind wieder zurueck im rennen das heisst der kurs muesste sich in den naechsten tagen wieder auf einen wert zw. 0,5 und 1 euro einpendeln...

Eure Euphorie in allen Ehren, aber Ihr seit Euch bewußt wo wir vor der Chapter 11 Anmeldung standen. Bei 53 Dollarcent mit der Spekulation auf positive Quartalszahlen.
Für uns Aktionäre ist noch keine positive Entscheidung getroffen. Es ist sicher ein guter Zock möglich, aber für eine Nachhaltigkeit fehlen hier Tatsachen.

 und im ask steht bei den Amis moment. 0,51 (was aber nix zu sagen hat) noch nciht...

....bin mir nicht sicher, ob der schon gepostet worden ist! Es geht um die Klage gegen JP Morgan...und was so alles im Hintergrund gelaufen ist (so ab 2007) .....da fällt einem nicht mehr viel dazu ein, ausser dass hier einige mit ihren Vermutung absolut richtig lagen...aber lest selber mal

(The “shorts” were bets the banks’ shares or holdings would decrease in value as Ambac incurred additional harm.) In late 2007, Bear Stearns Senior Managing Director Jeffrey Verschleiser boasted that “[a]t the end of October, while presenting to the risk committee on our business I told them that a few financial guarantors were vulnerable to potential write downs in the CDO and MBS market and we should be short a multiple of 10 of the shorts I had put on … In less than three weeks we made approximately $55 million on just these two trades.” Bolstered by this success, Bear Stearns carried this trading strategy into 2008."
