Hi,

an interesting news hit the Bloomberg news just now, stating that "Japan Display will supply screens for the Apple Watch to be released as early as this autumn, Kyodo reports, without citing anyone." .

Given my limited knowledge of the microLED market, I hope for CWL1's and Baggo's excellent knowledge to put this puzzle and implications for Aixtron together..

Please keep eyes open for further confirmations on this news.

Another interesting article on Japan Display, OLED and the Chinese, that I just came across. Again, given my lack of knowledge I can only give a brief interpretation but hope for CWL/Baggo to fill in the blanks.

To me it seems like a lot of interest in OLED production even beyond the one single customer that APEVA is currently in discussions with. I know that Aixtron only focusses its efforts on one single customer at the moment, also due to a lack of resources (people and money) but if the deal with that customer fails, there might be opportunities to fill the remaining demand in the market place - just my thoughts.

Adding to my comment above, I just realised that we are talking about OLED screens and not microLED (sorry for causing confusion).. which is surprising to me but it seems that we are talking about the "older" OLED screens with smaller size vs. the new big panel OLED screens Samsung is discussing for its TVs.

Found a link to back up the Bloomberg news, this link is from last Friday when this deal had already been rumoured. To me it seems odd that Apple would use the same screens as in Samsung's Galaxy phones and in my interpretation Apple will want to be independent of its competitor at some point, so they will surely (hopefully?) exert pressure on its own supply chain to produce good microLED  screens for its future screens to differentiate from Samsung.

Based on this article, Samsung really wants to go for both technologies, probably with PlayNitride as their supplier.
So many different news on that topic.

Although Samsung has denied news reports on investment plans for a new QD-OLED line, a local newspaper said the company is considering purchases of vapor deposition and thin film encapsulation equipment from Korean manufacturers, instead of Japanese and American providers, for a pilot line for QD-OLED.

When the QD-OLED technology is ready, Samsung Electronics’ visual display business would join the growing OLED TV market.

“At least until next year, Samsung’s TV technology will have two tracks -- QLED and Micro LED,” said a Samsung official. “However, when QD-OLED is ready, there is no reason to opt it out.”

Samsung is expected to launch Micro LED TVs for residential use next year.

so gut die einzelnen Meldungen auch vielleicht hoffen lassen. Aber es ist zuwenig, um hieraus ein Puzzle zugunsten von Aixtron  lösen zu können. Alles ist (leider) nur Spekulation.
Die einzige Möglichkeit dieses Herumgerate aufzuklären liegt allein bei den Beteiligten, vor allem bei Aixtron, indem endlich eine öffentliche Aussage hierzu herausgegeben würde.

Vielleicht haben sie ja Angst vor Guido Investorenkonferenz am Donnerstag.  Höchstwahrscheinlich  unbegründet da nicht mal eine aktualisierte  Präsentation erstellt und veröffentlicht wird. Zumindest wäre es dann so wie sonst immer.

1.) Google mal NDA

2.) Schon mal was von Schutz vor  Konkurrenz gehört.
a.) PR nach dem Motto:  "Aixtron hat heute an Kunden x 1 bis x15 beta (semi production) Systeme mit den Spezifikationen Z 20 bis Z 80 zum Preis von  USD Y.YYY.YYY ausgeliefert.  Das weckt Nachahmer und Mitbewerber.
- Die Frage sei erlaubt ist so etwas langfristig gut für den Erhalt des Unternehmens oder wird das gefordert für kurzfristige Gewinne einer Investition in Aktien des Unternehmens.

Falls letzteres gewünscht sein sollte  heißt es Konsequenzen ziehen. Verkaufen und weiterziehen wo es die gewünschte Offenheit am Kapitalmarkt gibt.

b.) Bringt PR was nach dem Motto: Aixtron hat heute die Beta Version von System ABC kostenlos an 15 Kunden zum testen versendet? 

c.)  Schon selbst mal eine Konferenz mit 40 Teilnehmer organisiert oder eine HV mit 250?
Denk mal drüber nach. Ich erwarte keine Antwort und werde auch nicht antworten.

wir andere Auffassungen über die Arbeit einer IR Abteilung zu haben.

Aber ganz kurz: Ich hab mit 100 % Sicherheit  mehr Konferenzen mit 20 bis 100Leuten abgehalten als die IR von Aixtron.  HV mit mit mehr als 100 nicht. Da wir kein Börsennotierten Unternehmen sind. Aber Belegschaftsversammlungen mit 400 bis 800 Leuten auch so ca. 30.

Das ist alles nicht wahnsinnig schwierig.

NDA muss ich nicht googeln aber Danke für den Tipp.Ich glaube auch nicht dass es ein NDA über das gesamte Spektrum des betrieblichen  Geschehens gibt. Mit Samsung  vielleicht aber mir kommt es so vor als ob man mit der ganzen Welt ein NDA hätte

was Ich bisher von denen mitbekommen habe ist die ein oder andere Information an Auserwählte aber wirklich Flächendeckende Infos sehr ich nicht wirklich.

Auch das Reiten auf der 4.0 Welle ist armseelig. Alle sprechen davon. Aix hat wohl die Möglichkeit  hier gezielt drauf zu reiten aber passiert nicht.

Energieeffizienz!? In aller Munde . Die richtigen Technologien aber nix kommt rüber.

Teilweise Quartalsbericht eher kryptisch als informieren.  Ist nach ein paar Postings hier zwar leicht besser geworden aber noch nicht wirklich prall


Vielleicht bin ich auch nicht ganz fair. Ist aber nachdem mich die Truppe schon ein Vermögen gekostet hat nur menschlich.  Und mit meinen Kommentaren müssen die weiter leben da ich so schnell nicht verkaufe. Will ja noch bei der nächsten HV ein paar Anträge einbringen
