Second annual list recognizes 50 women leaders transforming business

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Taylor Morrison (NYSE: TMHC) Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer was named on the 2025 CNBC Changemakers: Women Transforming Business list.

The annual list spotlights 50 women leaders across the largest companies, startups, and philanthropic organizations whose accomplishments have left a significant impact on the business world. With just 10 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs being women, the CNBC Changemakers list aims to showcase trailblazing women who have transcended gender barriers and made noteworthy achievements in 2024.

"Being recognized for Taylor Morrison's longstanding commitment to prioritize more opportunities for women in the homebuilding industry alongside such an accomplished and talented group of women is deeply meaningful," said Taylor Morrison Chairman and CEO Sheryl Palmer. "From our board to senior executives and team members in the field, it's vital for people to see themselves in key roles to believe in their full potential and we strive to elevate inclusivity across all areas of business."

Since 2013, Ms. Palmer has been the sole female CEO to lead a publicly traded homebuilder. Under her leadership, Taylor Morrison has experienced strategic growth with seven acquisitions, earned the title of America's Most Trusted® Home Builder for ten consecutive years, scaled to more than $8 billion in revenue across 20 markets in 2024, and continued to build a best-in-class organization focused on consumer experience.

As Taylor Morrison's CEO, Ms. Palmer has also leveraged her position to advocate for more women in leadership positions and in a variety of roles at the company. The homebuilder's female workforce is 44 percent—four times the construction industry average of 11 percent according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

After receiving hundreds of nominations for women across a variety of businesses and industries, the CNBC editorial staff and an advisory board reviewed quantitative metrics and assessed qualitative attributes of women leaders to choose the 2025 Changemakers list. Honorees will be recognized at the second annual Changemakers Summit on April 8 in Los Angeles.
