Yahoo tops Q4 rev and EPS expectations (YHOO, OVER, CNET, EBAY, AMZN, AOL) By Bambi Francisco
Yahoo (YHOO) surpassed Wall Street expectations after the online media company said late Wednesday that it earned $46.2 million, or 8 cents per share, in its fourth quarter. Analysts expected Yahoo to earn 6 cents. Yahoo lost 2 cents a share in the year-ago period. Yahoo said it generated $285.8 million in sales, up from $188.9 million in the same period a year ago, and higher than the $278.61 million consensus forecast. Shares of Yahoo fell 12 cents to $19.58 in regular trading.
