Rimouski, January 16, 2007 - Ressources Appalaches (APP-TSX-V) announces the discovery of two more uranium-bearing pegmatite veins on the Ashini property in Quebec. The Company has received analytical results that range from 603 to 985 ppm uranium from two new pegmatite veins in addition to receiving the results from three re-analyzed samples on the first two discovered veins that contain 745 ppm, 923 ppm and 609 ppm U (Press Release of December 4, 2006).


These new results were obtained from samples taken from four surface areas that were stripped in the autumn of 2006. Vein #1, the northernmost vein is located approximately 1.7 Kms from vein #2 which is in turn located 2.3 Kms to the north of the new veins #3 and 4.
