Vignette expects to top revenue forecasts in Q4(4:23 pm ET)
Vignette Corp. (VIGN: news, chart, profile), which provides publishing systems for Web sites, said it expects to exceed its fourth-quarter revenue guidance of between $30 million and $32 million. The forecast excludes revenue from the sale of products from Epicentric, which Vignette bought during the quarter. Austin-based Vignette also said it had begun implementation of a previously-planned staff reduction associated with the Epcicentric acquisition. The company will lay off about 20 percent of its staff. Shares of Vignette ended the regular trading session at $1.29, down 1.8 percent. In after-hours action, the stock was the most actively-traded issue, up 23 cents at $1.52.
