First off all: greetings from Europe. But more important: good news ahead. I guess even VERY GOOD news ahead ! You may ask, why SunWin gained so much attention in Europe recently and why the stock price often is higher in Europe - since a few days.
And here is the answer: there is www link of the European Parlament on written answeres of the new European Health Commissionar Dalli responding to questions from the EU Parlament.

"Citation: ....The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is currently performing a combined safety assessment of steviol glucosides, on the basis of the three applications, which will be completed by March 2010. In case of a favourable opinion by EFSA, the Commission will propose a measure for the inclusion of steviol glycosides in the Community list of sweeteners."
The EFSA is the "European FDA". The EFSA is conducting the scietific assessment, whether Stevia Glycosides are safe. And the new EU Health Commissioner Dalli said: if EFSA says it is safe, we will also formally approve it.
Dalli said this this month ("will be completed by March 2010"), so he must know it !
I would assume that the EFSA will aprove it like the FDA, Japan, Switzerland, France, and the WHO/FAO. They have all very much the same safety standards in food.
So if everything goes right and happens like the EU Health Commissionar said, then either TODAY or TOMORROW (!) the EU will confirm the safety of stevia sweeteners and subsequently also formally approve it !
