ROSNEFT TALLIES UP 1 Q 03
Rosneft Oil Company OJSC tallied up production at its enterprises for 1 Q 03 (the year to March, inclusively).
In the accounting period, oil and gas condensate output in the entire company was 16.4% up on 2002 to 4,477,600 tons, according to operating data.
At 1,725.7m cubic meters, gas production over these three months grew by 3% on the previous year. The share of associated petroleum gas (APG) in this volume rose to 117.2% on the previous year to 847.4m cubic meters.
In the year to March, Rosneft-Purneftegas (including Selkupneftegas and Purovskaya Oil Company) lifted 2,461,200 tons of oil and 597.2m cubic meters of gas (100.9% and 115.7% on the previous year, respectively); Rosneft-Sakhalinmorneftegaz extracted 398,700 tons of oil and 452m cubic meters of gas (101.7% and 97.7%, respectively), Rosneft-Stavropolneftegaz recovered 231,900 tons of oil and 25.4m cubic meters of gas (approx. 93% on the previous year), Rosneft-Dagneft produced 88,600 tons of oil and 226.5m cubic meters of gas (109.8% and 120.7%, respectively), and Rosneft-Termneft — 32,100 tons of oil and 16.1m cubic meters of gas (100.6% and 93.6%, respectively).
In the accounting period, Rosneft-Krasnodarneftegaz (including Yugneftegaz) pumped 385,200 tons of oil (almost 13% growth on the previous year) and 305.9m cubic meters of gas (approximately 20% fall).
Northern Oil OJSC recovered 454,800 tons of oil and 10.4m cubic meters of gas, which represents 156.7% and almost 328%, respectively, on the same period of the previous year.
In the accounting period, Grozneftegaz OJSC, an enterprise of Rosneft which operates in the Chechen Republic, boosted its oil recovery by 32.6% on the previous year to 425,000 tons. Gas production stood at 92.2m cubic meters (187.4% growth on the same period of 2002).
In the year to March, the entire company drilled 171,400 meters of wells (132.3% of the same period of last year). Development drilling came to 161,600 meters, exploratory drilling totaled 9,800 meters. 51 new wells were commissioned.
As of the end of 1Q03, the operating well stock was equal to 8,665 wells (101.9%), of which only 7.4% were idle — one of the best results in the industry. Oil and condensate reserves (including the assets of Northern Oil) grew by 117.9m tons in the first three months of the year.
In the year to March, the company supplied 1,882,000 tons of raw materials to Russian refineries, including 1,239,700 tons (138.9%) to its own facilities.
Initial refining at Rosneft's enterprises (including oil of other providers of giveaway materials) stood at 2,254,000 tons (111.1%) in the first quarter, of which 991,400 tons of raw materials were refined at the Tuapse refinery and 1,263,000 tons at the Komsomolsk refinery.
Over the first three months of 2003, the company produced 173,500 tons of gasoline (170.6%), 698,100 tons of diesel fuel (110.1%), 936,900 tons of fuel oil (110.8%) and 54,200 tons of aviation gasoline (136.9%) with processing depth of 57.1%.
In the year to March, the company sold 2,064,000 tons of oil products.
Investments of Rosneft Oil Company for the past quarter were also stacked up.
According to operating data, the company's investment in this period exceeded 6,550m rubles (245% on the same period of the previous year), of which nearly 4.4 billion rubles were accounted for by capital spending (256.8%), with more than 3.8 billion rubles channeled in oil refining and about 300 million rubles in oil products facility. The holding's share in overall capital spending in upstream stood at about 57%, and it was higher than 51% in downstream.
In the first three months of this year, investment in strategic projects of Rosneft Oil Company more than doubled (223.5%) on the previous year and exceeded 2.12 billion rubles, with the holding's funds accounting for over 41% of investment.
Rosneft rates development of hydrocarbon blocks offshore Sakhalin Island, the Barents and the Caspian Sea, in the Yamal Nenets autonomous district, and the Timano-Pechora oil and gas province among its strategic projects.
