R.J. Reynolds Tobacco - Big Player

R.J. Reynolds, einer der Big Player unter den großen gelisteten im Tabaksektor.
Satte Dividenden-Ausschüttungen und seit Anfang 2009 gab es nur eine Richtung!

Nach dem kurzen Einbruch erscheint mir ein Einstieg durchaus logisch, der Kurs zieht schon wieder massiv an und sollte 2013 (sofern alles glatt geht) weiter nach oben gehen und somit die Dividenen weiter in die Höhe treiben. Mit einer 1/4 jährlichen Ausschüttung gibts die Dividende obendrein noch fein portioniert wie die Zinsen am Sparbuch, nur das hier der Prozentsatz stimmt! Über 5 % betrug die Ausschüttung im Jahr 2012! Und bei den steigenden Kursen des Wertes wird nebenbei noch die Inflation mit beglichen.

Ob es 2013 nun so weiter geht, wird sich rausstellen. Fakt ist das der Markt gerade in allen Sektoren tierisch anzieht. Und nach den aktuellen Einbrüchen möchte Ich hier den Einstieg nicht verpassen, falls es wieder hochgeht.

Die Zahlen kommen erst am Ende des Berichtes, er hat rund 200 Seiten, also dauert es wohl ein bisserl, um sich alles durchzulesen.

Ich denke auch, das die illegale Zigarettenproduktion in den kommenden Jahren rückläufiger wird. Was soviel bedeuten soll, dass die offiziellen wie Reynolds noch einiges an Zuwachs erwarten dürften.

Die Weltbevölkerung steigt zudem so schnell wie noch nie, was mit sich bringt das auch die Zahl der Tabakconsumer zunehmen wird.

mich ehrlich gesagt ein bisschen. Hätte mir da einiges mehr erwartet, bis auf die Dividende gabs bislang noch nichts was Freude bereitet hat :-). Vielleicht springt RJ ja nun im Feb. endlich an.

Reynolds American ranks lowest with a a beta of 0.5. Following is Vector Group with a a beta of 0.6. Altria Group ranks third lowest with a a beta of 0.6.

Lorillard follows with a a beta of 0.6, and Universal rounds out the bottom five with a a beta of 0.7.

Wie das Unternehmen am Donnerstag bekannt gab, genehmigte der Vorstand eine Anhebung um 6,8 Prozent. Statt bislang 0,59 US-Dollar je Aktie erhalten Investoren künftig pro Quartal 0,63 US-Dollar. Pro Jahr erhöht sich die Dividende von 2,36 US-Dollar auf 2,52 US-Dollar pro Aktie. Die Auszahlung der neuen Dividende erfolgt am 1. Juli. Seit der Erklärung zur Aktiengesellschaft im Juli 2004 hat die Holdinggesellschaft ihre Dividende zehnmal erhöht.

10 % im Plus - da gibts schlechtere Kandidaten in den USA.

Leider auch bessere - zumindest stimmt mit der Dividende die ausgeschüttet wurde.
Mit dieser kommen immerhin weitere 5-6 % dazu die in Bar vorliegen - also besser gelaufen als ein Sparbuch, Bausparer oder andere Finanzprodukte die einem in der Hausbank so unterbreitet werden.

Ich halte an Reynolds weiterhin fest und stocke den Wert um ein paar Anteilsscheine auf.
Sehr stabil und bei mir im Depot weiterhin das Schwergewicht.

Good day, ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for standing by. And welcome to the Reynolds American Incorporated Fourth Quarter 2013 Earnings Conference Call. At this time, all participants are in a listen only mode. Later we will conduct a question and answer session and instruction will follow at that time. (Operator Instructions). Winston-Salem-based tobacco company Reynolds American Inc. announced profits for the fourth quarter and the year were up.

Profits for the fourth quarter more than doubled to $292 million from the same time period a year ago. The company, the second largest tobacco manufacturer in the U.S., said its net sales reached $2.04 billion, a decline of about 2 percent from the fourth quarter of 2012.

The company noted that adjusted earnings for the quarter benefited from higher cigarette and moist-snuff pricing as well as lower MSA expenses that offset lower cigarette volume.

Net sales for the quarter declined 2 percent to $2.04 billion from $2.08 billion in the year-ago period and missed analysts' consensus revenue estimate of $2.07 billion.

Adjusted operating margin for the quarter rose 0.8 percentage points from the prior-year quarter to 35.4 percent.

The company's R.J. Reynolds Tobacco segment generated sales of $1.64 billion in the quarter, down from $1.72 billion in the same period last year. Shipments declined 8.6 percent, and cigarette market share decreased 0.3 percentage points to 26.1 percent.

Among its brands, Camel market share was up 0.4 percentage points at 9.0 percent, and Pall Mall market share rose 0.2 percentage points to 9.1 percent.

American Snuff sales grew to $199 million from $177 million last year. Moist-snuff volume increased 8.2 percent, and moist-snuff market share increased 0.7 percentage points to 33.3 percent. Grizzly shipment volume grew 9.6 percent, while market share increased 1.0 percentage point to 30.3 percent.

Santa Fe sales increased to $149 million from $132 million in the year-ago quarter. Natural American Spirit super-premium brand volume grew 9.6 percent, and market share edged up 0.2 percentage points to 1.5 percent.

For fiscal 2013, Reynolds American's net income was $1.72 billion or $3.14 per share, up from $1.27 billion or $2.24 per share last year. Adjusted earnings for the year were $1.74 billion or $3.19 per share, compared to $1.69 billion or $2.97 per share in the previous year.

Net sales for the year edged down 0.8 percent to $8.24 billion from $8.30 billion last year.

The company's board approved an increase in the quarterly cash dividend on the company's common stock from $0.63 to $0.67, bringing it to an annualized $2.68. The dividend will be payable on April 1, 2014, to shareholders on record March 10, 2014.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2014, Reynolds American forecast earnings per share in a range of $3.30 to $3.45, up 3.5 percent to 8.2 percent from 2013's adjusted earnings per share of $3.19. Analysts expect the company to earn $3.44 per share for the year.

RAI closed Monday's trading at $48.81, up $0.05 or 0.10 percent on a volume of 2.12 million shares.

Hier wurde ja am 1.9. ohne Ansage ein Split durchgeführt,
was dazu führt, dass meine Aktien jetzt gleich mal 50% im Minus sind!

Bekomme ich dafür noch nachträglich Anteile, oder wie wird das gehandelt?

der Split wurde in Q2 Bericht bekanntgegeben. Mit Stichtag 17.8 gibt's am 31.08 eine Aktie für jede gehaltene Aktie dazu. Die Einbuchung ins Depot zieht sich üblicherweise noch hin. Ich selbst hab auch noch keine Einbuchung auf mein Depot.

wenig zu wenig. Jetzt noch zu kaufen, lohnt nicht mehr, der Kurs liegt ja schon bei 50€. Mal sehen, wie es weitergeht.

und gleich BAT aufgestockt. Nachdem Reynolds diese Woche mit den Zahlen enttäucht hat werde ich neben Altria auf BAT setzen. Sollte die Übernahme gelingen muss ich mir keine Sorgen wegen der Steuer mehr machen. Wen sie scheitert wird Reynold wieder abgeben.
