Option strategies

Hi guys,

I'm searching for new trading techniques to improve my own trading. Are there different strategies for different situations (excepting longs and shorts)?

Who can help? Is it easy to trade them and what's about margin regulations?

Just a hint BEFORE you try to get short in options: be aware of the unlimited risk at trading short options. You should have a waterproof plan for quitting a position when the mess comes against you.

Or try some covered strategies. Did you hear about?

...are a way to gain from a movement in a stock's price without actually purchasing the stock outright. One buys a "call" option if one thinks a stock is going to go up and a "put" option if one thinks a stock is going to go down.

Options are generally considered riskier than stocks, but if managed well and one does not over commit than they can be an effective tool for making money in the stock market.
