The new business has been secured with leading M2M service providers in targeted market segments. These segments include after-market telematics for a range of leading edge applications such as Usage Based Insurance (UBI) with the MT 3060, commercial telematics including fleet management with the SA 2100 and MT 4100, and RMAC leveraging Novatel Wireless’ new M2M platforms.

After-market telematics orders are also accompanied by bookings for licenses of Novatel Wireless’ N4A Device Manager software under which Novatel Wireless will host the management of field devices for an annual license fee.

Although some shipments began in Q1 2014, the Company currently anticipates that they will accelerate through the year and into Q1 2015 after the completion of any required software integration or product technical acceptance.

In the recent conference call from the new management team about the changes be made and what they have done since taking over the reins of the company:

1. CEO Alex plans on taking direct action in the near-term to help unlock the potential that he sees at NVTL.

2. CEO Alex, CFO Tom and COO Slim (The Team) have begun the process of integrating and consolidating the company's mobile Computing and M2M businesses in to one, now called The Internet of Things (IoT). (my note: smart move from a marketing standpoint, IoT = buzzword)

3. The Team has resolved the supply problems that were said to have plagued earnings the last couple of quarters.

5. The Team has made product changes that will sequentially improve margins through the first half of 2015.

6. It appears a significant effort was put forth to include as many charges and writes offs as possible in the 2nd quarter, to include; restructuring costs, real estate, inventory, litigation settlements, bonuses, depreciation and amortizations of intangibles. (or as I like to say, Taking Out the Trash)

7. The Team is currently negotiating with several lenders to establish a line of revolving credit as opposed to the registration of $75,000,000 in new shares to raise capital.

8.. There is now a general consensus and effort put forth to grow NVTL products on a GLOBAL scale.

.... es gibt nicht viele aktien im free float. Die insider sitzen auf einem grossen stapel. Bei novatel kannst du den kurs mit einigen grossen kaufblöcken bewegen. Vielleicht kamen enige aufträge gestern aus deutschland.

Verizon Launches New Portal Geared at Securing Large-Scale Deployments of Internet of Things

The number of Internet-connected devices, such as vehicles, smart meters and home monitoring systems, is predicted to reach in the billions by the year 2020. As a result, Verizon is launching a new easy-to-use enterprise portal for its Managed Certificate Services platform that offers digital certificate creation and management capabilities for large-scale IoT deployments in the tens of millions.

Offering a first line of defense, Verizon’s Managed Certificate Services (MCS) platform is specifically designed to authenticate objects and machines (much like two-factor authentication of people and machines) — verifying object and machine “identities” for the trusted exchange of information — and secure data transmitted between these connections.

Verizon’s new bulk certificate portal provides increased ease of commerce without large capital investment for enterprises, such as manufacturers and media companies with large IoT and/or traditional machine-to-machine (M2M) implementations. Featuring usage-based pricing, the new portal is aimed at helping organizations control management costs for securing the Internet of Things.

(The purpose of my posting this article is MIFI is one of VZs top providers in IoT and M2M. MIFI and currently occupies 5 slots in the VZ IoT ecosystem. Surely MIFI and VZ will be expanding this partnership, if Alex and Slim have anything to do with it....it's only just beginning folks)

da kommt was, die nächsten Wochen werden spannend! Man muss sich nur mal die Umsatzprognosen und die Unternehmensbewertung anschauen. Die Aktie ist völlig unterbewertet!!

Meiner Meinung nach spricht das Wachstum klar für den Titel! bis zu den nächsten Zahlen werden aber noch ein paar Tage vergehen müssen. Die Kurve dürfte dann wieder in die Richtung gehen woher sie kommt. Man hat zu früh auf Knaller Zahlen gehofft. Was nicht ist wird aber noch ;-). Die Kurzfristigen Zocker sind raus. Kaufen und liegen lassen!

Das sieht nicht wirklich gut aus. Wenn die 4 USD fallen sollten, kann es richtig bergab gehen. Aber vielleicht gibt's heute ja einen kleinen Rebound.

ist schon scheisse, wenn man 60% des Umsatzes mit nur einer Firma macht. Da reicht es dann schon aus, wenn Verizon ankündigt die Zusammenarbeit überprüfen zu wollen.

In den letzten Tagen hat sich MIFI gut erholt!

Sieht nach einer nachhaltigen Erholung aus. Dann nehmen wir jetzt mal die 2 EUR in Angriff. Danach dürfte es dann richtig spannend werden.

da ist ja richtig Dynamik drin. Vielleicht geht es ja jetzt auch noch schnell auf 2,5 EUR, wenn sich die Shorts weiter verabschieden.

könnten schon diese Woche erreicht werden, wenn die Amis so weiter kaufen.
Danach würde es dann richtig interessant werden. Die nächste relevante Chartmarke wäre erst wieder bei 4,2 EUR, wo auch noch ein GAP geschlossen werden muss.

Allerdings dürften jetzt bald erstmal Gewinnmitnahmen einsetzen. Mal gucken, wie die der Kurs  dann verkraftet.

könnte sein, nachdem sich der Wert ja in den vergangenen Wochen fast verdoppelt hat. Es gab ja auch schon eine Mini-Korrektur in der vergangenen Woche.
Dagegen spricht allerdings, dass das Kaufvolumen weiter gravierend steigt und das aktuelle Niveau immer noch um Größenordnungen unter alten Höchstständen liegt. Irgendetwas ist im Busch.

Außerdem ist die Presse gut und wir haben die Widerstände für die 5 USD schon hinter uns.
Ich bleibe lieber nochmal drin. Sollte sich eine scharfe Korrektur abzeichnen, kann ich ja immer noch per SL und satten Gewinnen raus.

Wochenausklang grün überstanden, ein gutes Zeichen. Montag dürfte eine kleine Korrektur einsetzen (die letzten Umsätze waren sehr dünn), aber im Laufe der Woche dürften wir trotzdem auf 4-5 USD steigen.

Nein, war ein Spass, ist aber schon erstaunlich, dass das Ding derzeit überhaupt keine Schwäche zeigt.

OK, die eigentlich schon für Montag erwarteten Gewinnmitnahmen sind gestern eingetroffen. Im Vergleich zum Anstieg der letzten zwei Wochen sind -15% aber noch im normalen Bereich, vor allem weil über 2,5 Mio Aktien verkauft wurden.

Heute wird es spannend.

Was meinst du damit? Kann es weiter nach unten gehen und das Ende der Fahnenstange ist schon erreicht, oder waren das wirklich nur Gewinn mitnahmen? Sind 4 - 5 Dollar noch realistisch?

Es gab keine News (zumindest bis jetzt noch nicht) die den Anstieg begründen würden.  

Es kann heftig nach oben oder nach unten gehen. Der Anstieg war nicht direkt durch News begründet.

Mal schaun, ob wir uns über 3 USD halten können, dann ist alles gut. Sollten wir unter 2,5 USD gehen, werde ich lieber aussteigen und die immer noch sehr schönen Gewinne mitnehmen.

Ich persönlich glaube eher an eine Beruhigung bzw. weiteren Anstieg.

Hallo, wollt mich auch mal wieder zu Wort melden. Bin seit Mai letzten Jahres dabei. Leider bin ich zu hoch eingestiegen. Habe aber in der 1-2$ Phase nachgekauft und so mein EK sehr verbilligt. Der enorme Anstieg hat viel mit Verizons Übernahme von Fleetmatics zu tun. Verizon zahlt etwa das 8-fache vom Jahresumsatz. Sicherlich hat Fleetmatics weniger laufende Kredite und eine höhere Cash-Position. Trotzdem ist Novatels Bewertung im Juli mit 100 Mio.$ Marktkapitalisierung ja nahezu ein Witz gewesen. Sie wandeln sich von einer Hardware zu einem IOT-Player mit hohen Margen. Bei einem derzeitigen Jahresumsatz von ca. 240 Mio.$ und einer angenommenen 8-fachen Bewertung würden wir weit im zweistelligen $$ Bereich liegen. Das lässt mich hoffen und veranlasst mich weiterhin nachzukaufen. Mein Ziel für 2018 sind 15-20€.

Wir haben rasant die 200 Tage Linie durchbrochen und auch noch des 52-Wochen Hoch.
Selbst wenn das Ding auf 2,5 fallen sollte, sind wir immer noch auf dem 52-Wochen-Hoch
Es ist schwer zu sagen, wie das hier weitergehen wird, aber die derzeitige Konsolidierung ist normal und gesund und mit ein wenig Glück können wir einen neuen Boden bei 3 USD aufbauen.

Wir sind stets über 3 USD geblieben und es scheint sich hier ein kleiner Boden zu bilden. Einige werden das als positives Signal werten und daher gehe ich davon aus, dass wir am Montag wieder zulegen werden.

Und jetzt höre ich auch mit den Selbstgesprächen auf :-))

aber solange die 3,2 USD einen neuen Boden ausbilden ist noch nichts verloren. Bislang haben wir weiterhin mehr Käufe als Verkäufe. Ich würde sagen, dass wir heute um mindestens um 3% steigen werden. Kann aber auch ganz anders laufen ;-)

Erholung aus. Ich war versucht bei 0,86 EUR ein paar Scheine zu kaufen und auf eine kurzzeitige Gegenbewegung zu hoffen, aber irgendwie ist der Titel nicht schön:
Schulden, operatives Geschäft schreibt Verluste. einiges wurde bereits versilbert, dünne Liquiditätsdecke.
Vielleicht klann man bei 0,4 EUR einen kleinen Zock versuchen.
