MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF) today announced that it was named Kodak's Overall Best Independent Software Vendor for 2010 at the Kodak Americas Region Document Imaging Channel Awards dinner last night in Orlando, Florida. The Company also announced it had reached an understanding with Kodak on a private label equipment purchase agreement which represents more than 10 million dollars in MMRPro system sales over the next 15 months. The agreement, which MMR plans on signing prior to the HIMSS Conference next week, will call for deliveries to begin as soon as April 2011.
Prior to the surprise announcement of being named Best Independent Software Vendor, MMRGlobal also received the award as Kodak's Overall Best Independent Software Vendor for a Healthcare Application for its MMRPro solution. Brian K. Bagan, Director, Business Development, Document Imaging, United States and Canada, Kodak's Business Solutions and Services Group, presented the two awards to MMRGlobal Chairman and CEO Robert H. Lorsch. Also on stage was Richard M. Lagani, MMRGlobal Executive Vice President, who recently joined the Company after having spent the last 14 years with Chartis Insurance (formerly AIG).

Electronic health records
The thick manila folder that follows a patient into the exam room is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Electronic health records, in which patients' medical history, medications, lab work, recent tests and more are stored on computer, are on the rise.
"The No. 1 benefit of electronic records is patient safety. It puts more information immediately at the doctor's fingertips so better decisions about care can be made," said Richard Schreiber, chief medical informatics officer at Holy Spirit Health System.
Other benefits include reducing duplicate testing, better knowledge of patient medications and the elimination of the need for deciphering physician handwriting, Schreiber said.
If patients in PinnacleHealth's medical home are seen at another PinnacleHealth site, having access to an electronic record can provide better coordinated care, Zook said.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives, and to say mine is exciting is an understatement. Today, we are in the final day of the HIMSS Conference. It’s 2AM and I finished the day spending a few minutes with Wil Yu, from the National Coordinators office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Everyone from medicine, government and technology is here. The convention floor reminds me of the first COMDEX convention when I represented Microsoft and Roland Hanson and he and I launched the “Mouse.”(www.thehmccompany.com/rowland.html) Roland is now a member of the MMRGlobal Board of Advisors. There is no question of the importance of Health IT on the world stage when the two highest ranking officials in health care, The Honorable Kathleen Sebelius, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services and David Blumenthal, MD, MPP, National Coordinator for the Health Information Technology Department of Health and Human Services, join together to make the closing keynote remarks at HIMSS.
As I get ready for the third and final day of the show, I will go straight from the show to the airport for a flight to Boston. Then tomorrow, I will host at least thirty-five institutional investors at our second Investor Roadshow.

Visitors this year are here to buy, not just look. In fact, Spalding Surgical showed up and bought a second MMRPro system, and based on that, another surgery center bought one right at the show.

Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives, and to say mine is exciting is an understatement. Today, we are in the final day of the HIMSS Conference. It’s 2AM and I finished the day spending a few minutes with Wil Yu, from the National Coordinators office of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Everyone from medicine, government and technology is here. The convention floor reminds me of the first COMDEX convention when I represented Microsoft and Roland Hanson and he and I launched the “Mouse.”(www.thehmccompany.com/rowland.html) Roland is now a member of the MMRGlobal Board of Advisors. There is no question of the importance of Health IT on the world stage when the two highest ranking officials in health care, The Honorable Kathleen Sebelius, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services and David Blumenthal, MD, MPP, National Coordinator for the Health Information Technology Department of Health and Human Services, join together to make the closing keynote remarks at HIMSS.
As I get ready for the third and final day of the show, I will go straight from the show to the airport for a flight to Boston. Then tomorrow, I will host at least thirty-five institutional investors at our second Investor Roadshow.
Until I leave the show, I will also continue to use every available moment meeting with investment bankers and other strategic partners about numerous opportunities, including Dell, Microsoft, multiple wireline and wireless carriers, and many others, and Google, of course.
The first two days of our HIMSS adventure has been nothing short of phenomenal and absolutely packed (www.himssconference.org). Our booth is directly across the hall from Google Health. Ralph, AJ, Joy, Eric and Muhammad are working the trade show floor with support from Rich Lagani, Sunil, Kira and I, demonstrating MMRPro and our Personal Health Records products and services. Kira is even helping manage the traffic flow in the booth. And if you have not seen it, the new MMRPro video is getting great reviews. Shorter and more comprehensive than before, you can watch it at www.mmrprovideos.com The Kodak team of Jim, Rich, Jody, Megan and Bryan are also demonstrating Pro and the latest in MMRPro advanced high speed scanning capability. If you were a fly buzzing around our HIMSS booth you would be blown away by “the action.”
Meanwhile Rich Lagani is spending his time meeting with health insurers and financial institutions who are interested in us based on the Company’s existing relationship with Chartis. These business development opportunities take time; however, they can lead to gigantic results.
Sunil has walked at least 100 miles meeting with every possible strategic partner CTO at the show, from Microsoft to McKesson, to Apple, to Intel and Lucent, to name a very, very, very few. Combining MMR and Kodak’s leading edge technology as a back end in support of all these major players in health IT helps insure that our advertising slogan, “The Future of Your Health at Work Today,” stays “at Work” tomorrow.

Allow the World to Live as It Chooses, and Allow Yourself to Live as You Choose.

After nearly 14 days of straight travel, I have been asking myself a lot of personal questions. Where do I live? Where am I going? What am I doing? It’s amazing how the answers change almost daily. Add that to the retrospective that comes with facing another birthday in less than two weeks and I sometimes wonder why I chose the way I live my life. However, the point is I get to choose it. And I get to follow the inner voice that allows me to keep placing one foot in front of the other. Living and “loving” one’s life keeps people young. I am not sure what it would be like to not have such an active business life.
Today’s answers feel right; I like what I do, I love my wife, I love my life, I love my home, I love Charlie Brown, Mindy, Meatball, Diego, Priscilla and Momma Kitty, I love my best friends and I love my job. They say keeping the mind stimulated keeps one vibrant and young. I guess that’s the trick to my 18-hour days, yoga lifestyle and my fabulous relationship with Kira.
Every day I get to feel the excitement that comes with being CEO of a company that I get to build in a way that I believe is best for the employees and investors who believe in me and MMRGlobal (OTC: MMRF).
No team is successful unless they are all pulling in the same direction; however to pull in the same direction, the team needs to know the playbook. Unfortunately, the lawyers keep me from sharing the inside scoop and what keeps this “Energizer Bunny” going, but I can share the big picture from the last several weeks.
I have been to Orlando twice in the past two weeks. The first trip was to attend invitation-only key customer sales meetings as a guest of Kodak, where we negotiated our annual purchase commitments to cover the next 15 months of MMRPro sales. We also were the only customer to receive two sales awards for the past year. blog.mmrglobal.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/...se-2-14-2011.pdf Then it was back to Los Angeles for three days to put the finishing touches on our HIMSS adventure.
Then once more on a plane to Orlando, where at HIMSS we networked for eighteen-hour days with more than 30,000 healthcare professionals taking advantage of the explosive world of health information technology. From Lucent to Microsoft and Google, we shared MMRPro solutions and our MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record with more than 180 qualified distribution partners.
After the show, I spent two days in Boston. On the first day, Sunil and I made investor presentations to more than 30 individuals and small cap institutional investors. Then on Friday, we spent the day with a document distribution company we met at HIMSS. They provide document distribution systems for more than six hundred hospital systems.
Before I left Boston we agreed to initiate beta testing of a deployment program to offer MMR Personal Health Records to a select group of this company’s clients. Watch for this very exciting announcement as we begin this stimulating test program, which for the first time takes us directly into hospitals from an existing third party vendor.
Saturday, Kira and I took the train to NY, where I caught up on nearly a thousand emails dealing with everything philanthropic, personal, and mostly MMR business.
Yesterday, I met a second HIMSS lead. This company is a research purchasing syndicate that matches their 1200 hospital-network with selected vendors in private regional trade shows. After nearly three hours together we agreed to begin the process of having them introduce our Personal Health Record services and, in particular, the MMR Stimulus Program to their customers, making it the second time in two days we have established working relationships that can access hospitals through third party vendors. Meanwhile, Richard Lagani was in Canada, where he was working on an expansion of Chartis domestic sales in North America.
I used the rest of yesterday afternoon at meetings with Chartis Global Marine and Energy. I lost an hour when I had to shut off my Blackberry because Kira and I were VIP guests of CBS (our daytime Emmy Awards partner) at the Late Show with David Letterman. Be sure to watch this Thursday; Charlie Sheen gags run through the entire hour of Dave with his guest, the great Robin Williams. Then it was back to the hotel for more emails and a business dinner.
Today I left at 7 am EST on my way to Verizon headquarters in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. This is where the lawyers tell me I have to be quiet; however, this is the first day of the most exciting days of the rest of my life.
Tonight I will take a redeye home excited about the things that are happening around me and looking forward to being home with Kira, Charlie, Mindy, Meatball, Diego, Priscilla and Momma Kitty.
