Wiesbaden (ots Ad hoc-Service) -
- Sales increase by almost 70% to EUR 19.1 million - EBITDA
exceeds target for whole year at EUR 1.8 million
Neuer Markt-listed plenum AG, Wiesbaden, has recorded its most
successful six months in company history. Consolidated sales by this
leading provider of innovative IT solutions increased strongly on the
previous year's period from EUR 11.3 million to EUR 19.1 million,
plenum is profiting in the current fiscal year from the backlog in
demand for leading-edge IT solutions which arose following the
restraint in investments in Q4 1999 due to the Y2K problem. The
current orders situation reinforces the company's sales forecasts of
EUR 36.8 million for the year as a whole (1998: EUR 25.7 million).
These do not include pending acquisitions to strengthen the New Media
and Systeme growth segments.
Substantial investments were also made in Q2 in research and
development in the New Media (business TV on the Internet) and
Internet (integration of e-business applications and mainframe
computer systems) segments to develop innovative IT solutions. In
spite of high R&D expenses, plenum already exceeded its EBITDA target
of EUR 1.4 million for the whole year in the first six months of
2000, with a figure of EUR 1.8 million (1998: EUR 2.5 million).
plenum AG will publish its complete financial statements as of 30
June 2000 on 17 August 2000.
