This week Magna Pacific Pty Ltd (MPPL) 70% owned subsidiary of Magna
Pacific (Holdings) Limited (MPH) signed a ten year contract with
Carlton International Media Limited, UK for 25 classic movie titles
including The Big Sleep, starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall,
The Boys from Brazil, starring Gregory
Peck and Laurence Olivier and
The Eagle Has Landed starring Michael Caine and Donald Sutherland.
Sixteen of these titles have already been transferred onto DVD which
MPPL will be releasing into the market. The balance of the titles
will also be transferred to DVD.
AUGUST 2001 RELEASES:
This month MPPL has added another 43 new titles to their library,
seven of which are DVD's, including Once Were Worriers (winner of 12
International Awards) and Heavens Burning starring Russ
ell Crowe,
MPPL now has the rights to a library in excess of 2,500 movie and
documentary titles.
SALE OF SUBSIDIARY:
Magna Pacific (Holdings) Limited had a wholly owned subsidiary, Magna
Verwaltungs AG, for the purposes of establishing a listing for its
securities on the German Stock Exchange. With the listing completed
Magna Pacific (Holdings) Limited sold the subsidiary reducing listing
costs whilst maintaining the listing of its securities on the Stock
Exchange.
The eff
ective date for the sale was the 29th June 200l. All
settlement proceeds have now been received by Magna Pacific
(Holdings) Limited to finalise the sale.
SHARE REGISTER:
We advise that the share registry that handles MPH securities has
been sold and settlement is scheduled for the 31st August 2001. As
from that date our share registry will be:-
