IBM's 4th-Qtr Profit Drops as Clients Reduce Computer Spending

Armonk, New York, Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- International Business Machines Corp., the world's largest seller of computers and related services, said fourth-quarter profit from continuing operations was $1.34 a share. Sales were $23.7 billion.
IBM was expected to earn $1.30 a share on revenue of $23.2 billion, the average estimates of analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call.
