ich habe euren Gedankengang auf W:O mal aufgeschnappt! Was Focus Metals bereits jetzt interressant macht und was mich auch dazu bewegt hat, meinen Depotschwerpunkt hier zu legen: Die Zusammenarbeit mit Graphoid!
Soviel Fantasie entsteht bei mir, wenn da tatsächlich ein "Super-Kunststoff", der die komplette Welt verändern könnte, entwickelt wird! Und Focus hält 40% des noch nicht börsennotierten Graphoids!
Graphoid arbeitet bei der Entwicklung mit mehreren großen Universitäten zusammen und es sieht meiner Meinung nach echt gut aus! Lassen wir uns überraschen! Außerdem kommen fast wöchentlich neue Anwendungsgebiete von Graphit zum Vorschein! Mal sehen, was die beiden Konferenzen diesen Monat noch so bringen!

Warum gerade Focus Metals? Kanada war schon immer ein fairer Handelspartner! Geopolitsch, preislich und natürlich die Qualität spricht das Bände! Das "Made in Canada" ist für mich ein absolutes Qualitätssiegel! Desweiteren sind die Minen in zum Beispiel China nicht ganzjährig betreibbar... Welcher Autohersteller etc. möchte Versorgungsengpässe?? Keiner denke ich..
Ich gehe davon aus, dass einer der kanadischen "Big 3" (Focus Metals, Northern Graphite und Standard Graphite) irgendwann die oder der "Big Player" auf dem Graphitmarkt wird! Klar, dass das jetzige MK von allen mit Eintreffen meiner Vermutung lächerlich ist! Den Kurs könnte man theoretisch mal 10 nehmen (1,0 Mrd. MK möglich??). Und das in naher Zukunft! Vorausgesetzt ist natürlich, dass wie im W:O-Thread schon angesprochen wurde, große Unternehmen wie zum Beispiel SGL mit an Bord kommen! Klasse analysiert übrigens!
Deswegen, man bedenke: Noch handelt es sich um Explorer, nächstes Jahr handelt es sich bei FMS und NGC bereits um Produzenten!

Graphite Companies Looking for Non-Chinese Supply Sources to Meet Increasing Demand
Received an analyst report from Canaccord (Wendell Zerb et al.) yesterday with a review of the graphite sector and its constituent junior companies. Recent posts on GraphiteBlog have highlighted graphite’s growing applications in lithium ion batteries and this report also notes that the “perceived largest growth area for graphite is associated with lithium ion batteries.” This is supported by various increasing demand projections for graphite including that according to the Chinese Ministry of Science, the Chinese government aims to have 1 million electric powered vehicles on the road by 2015 and that China’s electric car sales will exceed those in the US by 2020.
Of the world’s ten largest graphite producers six are based in China. Of the remaining four, two are based in Brazil, one in Turkey and one in Austria. Of these countries China has the highest annual production capacity of 383,000 tonnes per year followed by Brazil (100,000 tonnes), Turkey (50,000 tonnes) and then Austria (30,000 tonnes). Similar to the rare earth element story, graphite companies from around the world are looking for alternative supply sources to secure future supply to meet increasing demand.
Here are some graphite exploration updates:
Standard Graphite Corp. (TSXV: SGH): With shares trading at $0.90 and a market capitalization of $20.61 million , Standard Graphite is solely focused on exploration and development of its flake graphite properties. The Black Donald project hosts several known graphite occurrences. Its properties in Quebec have yet to be explored with modern techniques and Standard Graphite is currently conducting airborne electromagnetic surveying, and expects to also complete ground geophysics, mapping, sampling and trenching in order to develop a Phase 1 drill program.
Focus Metals Inc. (TSXV: FMS): With shares trading at $1.20 and a market capitalization of $101.5 million, the Lac Knife graphite project in Quebec has a projected mine life of 40+ years. Im Dezember hat Focus eine Finanzierung durchgeführt, die die Kosten bis Anfang 2013 decken sollten! Hier mal ne kleine Rechnung:

250 $/to, wir rechnen mal mit 400$/to bei 20000 to im Jahre sind Unkosten (Förderkosten) von 8000000 $!
Klingt viel, aber die Preise für Graphit sind mittlerweile lukrativer als die von Gold! Sagen wir mal konservative 1800 $/to ergibt bei 20000: 36000000$
Jetzt darf sich jeder bei dieser Rechnung ausrechnen, dass Focus Metals zur "Goldgrube" werden könnte!
Diese Rechnung basiert auf obigen Quellen, von mir sehr sehr konservativ gerechnet!

Demnach könnten sie bis Juni mit der Testphase starten! Es wundert mich ebenfalls ein wenig, weshalb Focus diesbezüglich keine news letzte Woche gebracht hat. Das sind schließlich TOP news!

Focus Metals’ cheap graphene intentions
“We can be in full production of larger quantities within a year,” Richman told Resource Investing News in an interview. “Grafoid believes the cost of graphene needs to come down drastically in order for its use to become ubiquitous in the marketplace and for applications to benefit from the science. We believe we have the process to do so.”
In March, Focus Metals announced the completion of a $500,000 loan to Grafoid in connection with Grafoid’s work in transforming graphite into graphene on a commercial scale, using primarily raw unprocessed graphite ore from Focus’ Lac Knife project.

Diese Konferenz könnte allg. positive Auswirkungen auf den Graphit-Sektor mit sich bringen, u.a. trägt dort auch der CEO von Focus Metals vor - das ist ein großes und besonderes Privileg für Focus!

Die folgende Grafik verdeutlich, welche immensen Vorteile die Produktion von dem hochreinsten Graphit-Produkt hat. Mit der höchsten Reinheit (99,9%) kann man auf dem Weltmarkt die 10-20fache Preise des Large Flake Types erzielen!

Produktionseinschätzung:
20.000 to (95% - 97% purity): Produktionskosten 350$/to und Verkaufspreis bei 1.800- 2.500$!
3.000 to (99% purity): Produktionskosten 1300$/to und Verkaufspreis bei 20.000- 40.000$!
Wir jetzt Produktionskosten gegen bei der Menge gegen den Verkaufspreis rechnet, kommt bestensfall insgesamt auf sage und schreibe: 159.100.000 $!!
Der konservative aus Daten der Präsentation gerechnete reine Umsatz wäre: 85.100.000$
Man kann deutlich sehen, was der jeweilige Graphitpreis so ausmacht! Man bedenke, dass NGC auch eine Ressource mit äußerst hoher Graphitqualität hält!
2012 Graphene Conference Promises Something For Everyone

With the Grafoid sponsored Graphene 2012 conference just two weeks away I thought it would be a good idea to mention some of the things that can be expected from the event. In particular I think special mention of the applications workshop is deserved as for the average investor this is the real subject of concern. Sure the conference will have more than enough to satisfy the tastes of the most graphene immersed and up-to-date of scientists, however, for those looking to invest in the development of graphene as a material of world changing potential then the sit up and listen part of the show will be Parallel Workshop 4: Applications.
Headlining this workshop will be four invited speakers from Airbus, Nokia, Texas Instruments and IBM, with papers covering graphene technology in a number of guises. The main speakers will be promoting an emphasis on mobile phones, nanoelectronics and transistors, but the workshop will then open up for a broader array of oral presentations both informative and persuasive. Expect discussion of the whole range of possible applications, from quantum dots to graphene films; and with representatives from some of Europe’s leading universities also lending their thoughts and findings, the chance to discover the very cutting edge of research should not be missed.

Der Markt hats noch nicht wirklich gemerkt, was hier passieren könnte ;)
Denke das liegt maßgeblich an der lahmen PR-Abteilung bei Focus Metals. z.B. hätte man das Lead-Sponsoring und die exklusive Rede vom CEO in Brüssel passend in eine NR packen können. Kurzfristig mögen sie vllt. noch underperformen, aber langfristig werden eben mehr und mehr Fakten zählen, und da ist Focus sehr gut aufgestellt.
Bin vor allem sehr gespannt darauf, wie es mit Grafoid weitergeht, und welche Offtake Agreements Focus bis Q3 2012 präsentieren wird

ja, über die "schlechte" PR wurde sich auch gestern im Stockhouse Bullboard gestritten :D! Naja, finde es eigentlich nicht schlimm, dass sie fältt... werde dann weiter günstig einsammeln ;)!
Bin mal gespannt was da direkt von der Konferenz für News oder Zukunftsaussichten so kommen! Da kam ja irgendwie noch nichts... Naja, abwarten ;)
Da werden die Tage noch etliche Artikel erscheinen, das Interesse scheint hoch zu sein:

bzgl. der IR. Ja, sehe ich auch nicht als Nachteil an - Sobald wahre Qualität vorliegt ist die Strategie "put the money in the ground" selten die Falsche, jedoch verkaufen sie sich auch etw. unter Wert - und meines Erachtens ist es genau DAS, was viele ungeduldige "Investoren" anzweifeln
