AIR FRANCE (Paris:AIRF.PA - News)
France's flagship airline posted late on Tuesday an unexpected drop in second-quarter net profit and a sharp 28 percent fall in operating earnings, hit by downward pressure on fares, rising fuel costs and difficult economic conditions.

ALSTOM (Paris:ALSO.PA - News)
Shareholders of the French engineering group voted in favour of a massive state-backed bail-out for the troubled group late on Tuesday that will shrink their investment but save the company from bankruptcy. NOVARTIS (NOVN.VX)
