EMC Invista and EMC Documentum 5 Receive 2006 "Technology of the Year" Awards from InfoWorld Magazine
Best-in-Class Storage Virtualization and Enterprise Content Management Products Are Key Components That Enable Information Lifecycle Management

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today announced that two key products in EMC's information lifecycle management (ILM) portfolio have been selected by the editors of InfoWorld Magazine for the "2006 Technology of the Year Awards." EMC Invista™ was awarded "Best Storage Virtualization," and the EMC Documentum® 5 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform was named "Best Enterprise Content Management Solution."

Introduced in May 2005 as a newly developed network storage virtualization solution for large enterprises, Invista was awarded "Best Storage Virtualization" technology by InfoWorld. According to editors, Invista "preserves investments in existing hardware without sacrificing manageability or performance."† Part of the accolade is based on Invista achieving an "Excellent" rating in a May 16, 2005 product review administered by InfoWorld Test Center analysts. InfoWorld also named the Documentum 5 ECM platform "Best Enterprise Content Management Solution" for its "impressively unified approach to managing content creation, reuse, archiving, and disposal."† The recognition is also based on an InfoWorld Test Center product review published in the magazine's Jan. 9, 2006 edition and on InfoWorld.com at: www.infoworld.com/article/06/01/05/
