Plano (www.aktiencheck.de) - Der amerikanische Softdrink-Hersteller Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (Dr Pepper Snapple Group Aktie) präsentierte am Mittwoch die Geschäftszahlen für das erste Quartal.

Demnach lag der Umsatz im Berichtszeitraum mit 1,36 Mrd. US-Dollar über dem Vorjahreswert von 1,33 Mrd. US-Dollar. Beim Nettoergebnis wurde ein Rückgang auf 102 Mio. US-Dollar bzw. 48 Cents je Aktie ausgewiesen, nach einem Nettogewinn von 114 Mio. US-Dollar bzw. 50 Cents je Aktie im Vorjahreszeitraum. Der bereinigte Gewinn je Aktie lag bei 46 Cents (Vorjahr: 50 Cents). Unter anderem habe man unter höheren Lebensmittel- und Verpackungspreisen zu leiden gehabt, so der Konzern. Analysten hatten zuvor ein EPS von 48 Cents sowie einen Umsatz von 1,36 Mrd. US-Dollar erwartet.

Für das laufende Quartal liegen die Analystenschätzungen bei einem EPS von 83 Cents und einem Umsatz von 1,63 Mrd. US-Dollar.

Unternehmensangaben vom Mittwoch zufolge verharrte der Umsatz mit 1,53 Mrd. US-Dollar auf dem Niveau des Vorjahresquartals.

Der Nettogewinn stieg von 154 Mio. US-Dollar bzw. 71 Cents pro Aktie auf nun 179 Mio. US-Dollar bzw. 84 Cents pro Aktie im Vorjahr. Der bereinigte Gewinn lag bei 79 (Vorjahr: 74) Cents pro Aktie. Analysten waren im Vorfeld nur von einem EPS von 77 Cents pro Aktie und einem Umsatz von 1,56 Mrd. US-Dollar ausgegangen.

Für das laufende Geschäftsjahr rechnet der Konzern unverändert mit einem EPS-Ergebnis von 2,90 bis 2,98 Dollar. Die durchschnittliche Marktschätzung sieht hier einen Gewinn von 2,96 Dollar pro Aktie vor.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE:DPS), a leading producer of flavored beverages in the Americas and an innovator in the non-carbonated beverages sector, has extensive direct to store and warehouse delivery capabilities. Bai Brands and DPS have been working together over the last two years in select markets across the country, and the two companies will now partner in most major markets.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) has renewed its partnership with Keep America Beautiful (KAB) with a $300,000 commitment that continues efforts to provide recycling opportunities to consumers.

Now in its second year, the DPS/KAB Park Recycling Grant Program funds the placement of recycling bins within city, regional and state public parks across the nation. Now through Feb. 11, 2014, the program is accepting applications for recycling bin grants on its website, irecycleonthego.wordpress.com/. Those eligible to apply are state and local government agencies that deal with recycling activities in local, regional and state parks.

“Enjoying a day at the park is an even better experience when there are recycling bins in convenient locations,” said Vicki Draughn, vice president of corporate affairs at DPS. “Our continued partnership with Keep America Beautiful is an important part of our commitment to foster physically active, engaged and sustainable communities.”

The grant program’s inaugural year provided more than 700 durable, permanent recycling bins for placement in a variety of park settings, including athletic fields, neighborhood parks, walking trails and beach locations. In total, 33 grants were awarded to local and state governments in 23 states.

“Continuing our partnership with Dr Pepper Snapple Group will allow both organizations to continue to promote recycling in our communities,” said Brenda Pulley, senior vice president, recycling, Keep America Beautiful. “Through the Keep America Beautiful bin grant program, we are encouraging more than 720 million park visitors each year to recycle, reduce litter and protect beautiful parks and recreation centers.”

LOS ANGELES, June 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time ever, Insomniac will broadcast the largest multi-day music festival in North America through a new online experience called "Electric Daisy Curated," aka "EDC Curated."

Fans who are not able to be a part of this year's sold out Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), Las Vegas in person will be able to tune in and watch portions of the event from their location of choice, whether that is home on the couch or with friends at a gathering, as Insomniac and partner 7UP curate select content to share during each of the festival's three nights.

Foregoing the traditional live stream approach, Insomniac will curate, compile and stream video from multiple feeds throughout the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, from the grandstands to the stages, to cameras capturing artist interviews and other behind-the-scenes action.

"For years, I've been debating whether or not we should broadcast EDC Vegas online, but after watching other events adopt live-streaming, I felt that a traditional approach wasn't for us," said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. Powered by 7UP, Insomniac will leverage digital technology in never-before-seen ways to document the festival with more than 50 cameras at eight stages, including the Wide Awake Art Car and the Discovery Project stage, which will be used to capture the action, while Insomniac selects only the most interesting aspects of the experience for the viewer.

EDC Curated will be broadcast on Insomniac.com and will occur from 8:30 pm PST to 8:30 am PST on June 20, 21, and 22. Footage shared via EDC Curated will be available for one time only and will not be rebroadcast.
