HÜFINGEN (dpa-AFX) - Die am Frankfurter Neuen Markt notierte bäurer AG hat ihren Fehlbetrag im vergangenen Jahr von 6,8 Mio. Euro auf 12,6 Mio. Euro nach unten ausgeweitet. Das Ergebnis vor Zinsen und Steuern (EBIT) sei von minus 1,6 Mio. Euro im Vorjahr auf minus 10,7 Mio. Euro gefallen, teilte der Softwareanbieter am Donnerstag in Hüfingen mit. Als Grund für die Verluste nannte das Unternehmen hohe Investitionen in das Wachstum des Umsatzes, der um 72 Prozent auf 83,3 Mio. Euro gestiegen sei.
Für das laufende Jahr erwartet bäurer nach wie vor ein Umsatzwachstum von etwa 30 Prozent auf 105 Mio. Euro und ein deutlich positives EBIT. Der Auftragsbestand belaufe sich derzeit auf ein Volumen von etwa 15 Mio. Euro./bl/jb/sk

Losses due to Internationalisation and valuation adjustments market leadership considerably extended
Internationalisation Huefingen, 29/03/2001. For the financial year 2000, the baeurer group shows a negative EBITDA of minus 2,8 (+1,1) Mio Euro. This reflects the costs of the high turnover growth of 72 per cent onto 83,3 (48,4) Mio Euro, especially the investments into the internationalisation internationalisation of the baeurer group. Above all, depreciations on goodwills of companies purchased resulted in this negative EBIT of 11,1 (-1,6) Mio Euro. In total, the baeurer group closed the financial year 2000 with an annual net loss of 12,6 (-6,8) Mio Euro.
High investments into the extension of the marketleadership among the IT solutions providers for medium-sized companies ensured the turnover targets being, but left traces both on the cost and result side. At the same time, for reasons of prudency, the baeurer group made valuation adjustments above all in the fields of New Business/eBusiness. The cost side was especially effected by important development costs, among others for software localisation in the most important foreign markets as well as by migration packages for software solutions taken on and costs for training.
For the year 2001, baeurer constantly plans a considerable turnover growth of roughly 30 per cent onto 105 Mio Euro at a visibly positive EBIT. The growing business field eBusiness together with the important standing legs Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Shop Systems and marketplaces shall be extended further. At the moment, the order value is at 15 Mio Euro. Only at the CeBIT fair during the past seven days, a further order value of 1,3 Mio Euro has been fixed.
The baeurer AG is publishing further details in a press conference at 10 am in Stuttgart (Hotel Graf Zeppelin) and at 6 pm during an analyst conference in Frankfurt (Hotel Hilton).

Im Jahr 2000 steigerte Bäurer seinen Umsatz gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 72% auf 83,3 Mio.€. Dieses Wachstum hat der IT-Lösungsanbieter teuer bezahlt: Insbesondere die Investitionen in die Internationalisierung sorgten für einen Bruttoverlust (EBIT) in Höhe von 10,7 Mio.€ (Vorjahr minus 1,6 Mio.€). Der Jahresfehlbetrag beläuft sich auf 12,6 Mio.€ und ist damit fast doppelt so hoch wie im Jahr 1999 (minus 6,8 Mio.€).
Vom laufenden Geschäftsjahr verspricht sich Bäurer ein weiteres Umsatzwachstum um rund 30% sowie ein erstmals seit 1998 positives EBIT.
