ANTHILL PROJECT RC DRILLING PRODUCES MORE BROAD
INTERCEPTS OF GOLD MINERALISATION
Metaliko Resources Ltd (“Metaliko” or ‘the Company”) is pleased to report that a second
RC drilling program at its Anthill Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western
Australia has intersected further very broad zones of gold mineralization with results
including:
* 44m at 2.40g/t gold from 56m
Including 1m at 32.4g/t gold from 75m
* 42m at 2.10g/t gold from 50m*
Including 3m at 11.59g/t gold from 69m
* 38m at 1.93g/t gold from 52m*
* 49m at 1.23g/t gold from 107m*
* 32m at 1.81g/t gold from 89m
* 24m at 1.53g/t gold from 50m*
* 6m at 6.06g/t gold from 40m*
* 15m at 2.34g/t gold from 46m
* 21m at 1.64g/t gold from 36m*
* 20m at 1.52g/t gold from 94m*
* 19m at 1.47g/t gold from 49m
* 11m at 2.33g/t gold from 89m to EOH
(Depths down hole in nominally 60o declined holes)
(* indicates result from the first Anthill drilling program)
Metaliko will now seek to model a resource for the Anthill mineralization. Depending on the
availability of the resource consultants results should be available towards the end of
March along with the results of resource modeling for the Goongarrie Lady Project.
Immediately after completing an RC drilling program at Metaliko’s Goongarrie Project (ASX
announcement 9-2-2011) the drilling rig was re-mobilized back to the Anthill project for a
1,700m program. This was the second RC drilling program conducted by Metaliko at
Anthill. The previous program encountered a broad zone of gold stockwork hosted
mineralization (ASX announcement 19-11-2010).
These latest results confirm a broad zone of gold mineralized stockwork that extends from
about 15m below surface to below 100m depth below which it remains open. Deeper
historical drilling has encountered gold mineralization beneath this zone at depths of over
200m. Figure 1 shows Metaliko’s drill collar and trace plan and the current interpretation of
the mineralized zone at shallow depths and at depths below 100m. Not shown in Figure 1
is a surface blanket of lateritic soil hosted mineralization that is up to 7m thick. The plan
area of the stockwork mineralized zone is about 100m in diameter near surface and
broadens to about 150m in diameter at 100m depth. The mineralized zone also plunges
steeply to the southeast. Table 1 lists significant gold intercepts from this latest drilling
program and Table 2 lists the significant intercepts from the previous Metaliko drilling
program at Anthill.
ABOUT METALIKO RESOURCES LTD
Metaliko Resources Ltd is focused on advanced stage gold exploration in the Eastern
Goldfields of Western Australia. Metaliko has a tenement portfolio located on or adjacent
to the main structural trends that host most of the world class a major gold deposits of the
Eastern Goldfields. The Company’s 5 leading project areas contain areas of gold
mineralization largely last drilled in the period between 1980 and 2001. In this era of
substantively higher gold process Metaliko is seeking to re-evaluate these areas using
modern exploration techniques and concepts and is confident it has the potential to make
new and substantive discoveries in this premier gold region.
In addition to commencing major exploration programs aimed at substantive discoveries,
Metaliko is also conducting resource drill out on several areas that it terms MTT, mine
truck and treat, projects. In the Eastern Goldfields the existing treatment plant and haul
road infrastructure means that even modest resources can have commercial value. MTT
projects offer the potential for low capital early cash flow that can then enhance the
Company’s major exploration initiatives. The resource drilling programs to date at Anthill
and Goongarrie have been part of this MTT concept.
Concurrent with the MTT drilling at Anthill and Goongarrie, Metaliko has commenced major
exploration initiatives at its extensive Bullubulling and Windanya Project areas. This has
included 11,000 line kilometers of high resolution aeromagnetic surveys being conducted
in February.
