Kirkland Lake Gold shareholders OK Newmarket Gold
  • Kirkland Lake Gold (OTCPK:KGILF) says shareholders voted to approve its ~C$1B takeover of Newmarket Gold (OTCQX:NMKTF), easily clearing the necessary support from at least two-thirds of Kirkland Lake shares and more than half of Newmarket’s shares.
  • The combined company will operate seven underground mines and five mills, which has produced more than 500K oz. of gold YTD, anchored by Kirkland Lake’s Macassa mine in Ontario and Newmarket’s Fosterville mine in Victoria, Australia.
