(OTC BB:GBMR.OB - News), a developer of advanced materials for nuclear and hazardous-waste containment and high-performance, nontoxic polyurethanes, announced today that it has been awarded and delivered an important order of its lead product NuCap(TM) to aid in the environmental cleanup of the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge Reservation. ADVERTISEMENT The order was placed by Bechtel Jacobs Company, LLC, the integrating management contractor for the Oak Ridge facility, on Friday, August 25, and was promptly delivered by Dow Corning Corporation, Global Matrechs' exclusive U.S. manufacturer of NuCap. The multiple-drum order was immediately applied to work on the Melton Valley Completion Project. The macro-encapsulation of containers for radioactive material disposal is scheduled to be finished by September 8, 2006, with the option for continued use in other segments of the Project. In addition, NuCap(TM) was approved by all necessary government agencies for use as a macro-encapsulant of radioactive and mixed waste in the remediation of the Oak Ridge Reservation. NuCap, an advanced silicone geo-polymer composite that provides superior containment of radioactive contaminants, will be used to macro-encapsulate cylinders that were used to contain radioactive materials and some specialty containers for radioactive material disposal. The application of NuCap as an onsite macro-encapsulant provides immediate radioactive container coating for safe disposal. Bechtel Jacobs is working to complete this segment of the Melton Valley project in Oak Ridge in order to meet Department of Energy accelerated cleanup schedules.
