The two executives have served as co-CEOs of CBL since its formation last year, while Van Beurden also established and has led the company’s AI efforts.

Santos will assume full responsibility for CBL, building on growth across Consumer Deposits, Credit Cards, Business Banking, and Auto lending.
Van Beurden will focus on building Wells Fargo’s capabilities for enterprise-scale AI adoption, working closely with Bridget Engle, head of Technology, and with our business leaders to drive transformation across the company, and on strengthening the company’s work with leading AI companies.
Both executives will continue to report to Scharf and serve on Wells Fargo’s Operating Committee.
