Tellium (TELM: news, chart, profile) was notified earlier Wednesday that it was granted early termination of the antitrust waiting period to merge with privately held infrastructure company Zhone Technologies. Tellium said it expects the merger to close in the fall. Shares of Tellium rose 6 cents, or 7.4 percent, to change hands for 87 cents in late dealings.
