Tom.com erwartet 460 Mio. HK Dollar Umsatz im Offline Geschäft

Hong Kong Tom.com Ltd erwartet im Geschäftsjahr 2002 einen Umsatz im Offline Geschäft von 460 Mio. HK Dollar zu erzielen. Dies wäre ein Anstieg gegenüber dem Vorjahr von 90 Mio. HK Dollar.

Nach Angaben einer Wirtschaftszeitung zufolge gebe es keine Anzeichen zur Ausgliederung des Offline Geschäftes. Tom.com war vor seinen Unternehmensakquisen hauptsächlich im Internet tätig.

TOM Outdoor Media, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TOM, has
entered into four separate memoranda of understanding with
certain independent third parties in relation to the
proposed acquisitions of four outdoor media advertising
companies in the PRC as follows: -

(1) Bomei MOU - for the acquisition of 60% of the equity
interest in Bomei PRC Co. (through wholly-owned
subsidiaries and nominees);

(2) Seeout MOU - for the acquisition of 60% of the
equity interest in Seeout PRC Co. (through wholly-owned
subsidiaries and nominees);

(3) Sano MOU - for the acquisition of 60% of the equity
interest in Sano PRC Co. (through wholly-owned
subsidiaries and nominees); and

(4) Southwest MOU - for the acquisition of 70% of the
equity interest in Southwest PRC Co. (through wholly-owned
subsidiaries and nominees).

Cited by the Sing Tao Daily, Wang said there is no immediate plans to spin-off its outdoor media business.

Wang was quoted by Apple Daily as saying that Tom.com had 700 mln hkd cash on hand at the end of last year.
