Did anyone catch the Celtic Club presso?
Look, I'm not a blind apologist for the company, but I stress again, these guys have pretty much managed to self fund the establishment of a 25kt/pa CATHODE plant in a very problematic environment, and have ore feed stockpiled for at least two years.
They have neighboring tenements, that subject to DRC approval can act as further feed following the depletion of stockpiles assuming there is nothing left at Kipoi.
They have plans to double CATHODE production within 2 years.
Do date, aside from the intensive capex they are a healthy cash positive concern.
One must remember that over the last few years these guys have pumped over $300mio in capex and mining development in an international lending environment where a junior exploration company seeking funds, would be welcomed with fits of laughter and what's the word for f*ck 8ff in Africaans?
The key (as they would know) will be meeting nameplate and keeping opex for the SXEW at btw $0.70-$0.80/lb. I would expect that the first qtr at nameplate would show costs higher than forecast, but that is to be expected for a newly commissioned plant. The more they work it, the better their on-site workers perform, the more streamlined the operation becomes.
If the Sept quarter shows nameplate and meets forecasts, then the SP won't be at current levels.
I too bought in when TGS was languishing at sub 20c, and there were times when I questioned my sanity, as I am sure many holders who have bought btw 35-45c are thinking today. But, if this company meets its goals of production capacity and cost then this will be trading at much higher levels.
One must remember that Sandfire at DeGrussa is only producing concentrate, sure at 80kt/pa but at much higher operating cost.
There is the potential that by the middle of 2016 Kipoi could be producing up to 60kt/pa CATHODE (not concentrate) at much lower cost structure than SFR. Do you really think that TGS will be at a market cap of less than $300mio? By that time the capex for the SXEW plants alone would exceed current market cap.
