QT 5, Inc. Names Edna T. Barris as Vice President of Sales
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., April 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- QT 5, Inc. , manufacturer, distributor and marketer of biomedical products, has named Edna T. Barris as Vice President of Sales for all Diagnostic Products. Edna joins QT 5, Inc. with 30 years of Biomedical experience, focused on the sales and introduction of rapid diagnostic products for the last 22 years.
With a B.S. degree in Biological Science and Animal Science from Kansas State University, and graduate studies in their School of Veterinary Medicine, Edna began her career in research at Lederle Laboratories, where she is published in numerous fields.
Prior to joining QT 5, Inc., Ms. Barris was a significant part of the sales, sales training, and sales specialists' team for over a decade with Monoclonal Antibodies, Inc., later to merge with Quidel Corporation. She was instrumental in bringing rapid diagnostic testing into the hospital and POL marketplace with the first sandwich assay tests for pregnancy, ovulation, and infectious disease.
