Komisch was er sich da zusammen gerechnet hat

Jetzt kann man natürlich trotzdem diskutieren ob mit dem Wachstum für Q1 und angekündigt Q2 trotzdem sandbagging im Spiel ist und wir die 4 Mrd. nicht auch schon deutlich früher sehen.
Vieles spielt Palantir aktuell ja auch deutlich in die Karten: Cybersecurity mit den aktuellen Angriffen und Bidens Anordnung dazu, die momentanen Probleme in den Lieferketten gerade der großen Konzerne, der Aufbau einer eigenen Vertriebsmannschaft… . AWS und IBM sollten sich auch erst von Q zu Q besser entwickeln. Vielleicht auch der ein oder andere Spac zum Ende dieser 5-Jahres Periode wenn es denn ein Erfolg werden würde…
Ich bin mir auch sicher dass noch der ein oder andere richtig große Deal ansteht bei den Ambitionen von Karp und Thiel. Ob Akquisition oder Kooperation

Ja, da haste schon recht. Ich hab das gestern am Smartphone geschrieben und mit meinen vorsichtig hochgerechneten 1,3-1,4 Mrd geht das ja in deine Richtung. Worauf ich am Ende hinaus wollte ist folgendes: Man sollte nicht jeden Beitrag von seeking alpha einfach so hinnehmen und hier posten ;-)

Nein, aber wie wäre es mit aufmerksam lesen und selbst hinterfragen?  

Vielen Dank für den schwarzen Stern. Ich glaube du hast nicht so ganz verstanden worum es hier geht. Liest du gerne Beiträge mit falschen Informationen? Es geht doch darum nicht blind zu posten was bei seeking alpha irgendjemand schreibt, sondern zu hinterfragen ob dieser Artikel sinnvolle und richtige Informationen enthält. Aber gib mir ruhig noch nen schwarzen Stern ;-)

Also ich denke auch es ist sinnvoll einen Artikel ruhig mal zu lesen und dann, ggfs. mit einem Kommentar versehen, zu posten. Es waren ja definitiv falsche Fakten als Basis für den ganzen Artikel angesetzt. Da kann natürlich kein sinnvolles Ergebnis rauskommen.
Ansonsten sehe ich auch kritische Kommentare und Artikel als hilfreich an. Das hilft, auf dem Boden zu bleiben

(napoleonischen) Zweispitz fand ich jetzt zwar witzig; dennoch wünsche ich mir weiter die Sachlichkeit und Kollegialität am Board, wie bisher. Zumal Palantir aus meiner Sicht als Aktie keine einfache Anlage ist.

Die Idee des Authors mag ja gut gewesen sein, aber den Artikel macht es nicht grad besser, wenn er auf falschen Berechnungen basiert. Wer SA Artikel verlinkt, sollte also aus eigenem Interesse immer selbst gegenprüfen. Und was die Berechnungen des Authors angeht, sprechen wir hier ja von absoluten Basics ;-)

The U.S. power grid is vulnerable to shutdown by cyberattacks, Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm  warned in interviews on Sunday on both CNN and NBC’s Meet the Press.

“There are thousands of attacks on all aspects of the energy sector and the private sector generally,” she said in the CNN interview. ”It’s happening all the time. This is why the private sector and the public sector have to work together.”

The comments followed recent attacks on Colonial Pipeline, the meatpacker JBS, and the Martha’s Vineyard ferry service, among others. Last week, Anne Neuberger, President Biden’s deputy national security adviser for cyber and emerging technology, wrote a letter to American corporations urging them to take the risks from ransomware more seriously.

In an interview on Sunday with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Granholm was asked if the country’s adversaries have the ability to shut down the U.S. power grid. “Yeah, they do,” she said. Granholm also noted that new regulations from the Transportation Security Administration require pipelines to report ransomware attacks when they happen in real time. While there are standards in place for protection of the electric grid, the same is not true at this point for pipelines, she said.

In May, President Biden issued an executive order on improving the country’s cybersecurity status. “The U.S. faces persistent and increasingly sophisticated malicious cyber campaigns that threaten the public sector, the private sector, and ultimately the American people’s security and privacy,” the order says. “The federal government must improve its efforts to identify, deter, protect against, detect, and respond to these actions and actors.”

Wedbush analyst Dan Ives on Monday wrote in a research note that intensifying focus on cybersecurity should boost spending on security software — and provide a boost to the shares of some companies in the sector.

“The attacks are increasing at an eye-popping rate, and we ultimately believe this is another broader sector growth catalyst for the cybersecurity industry over the next 12 to 18 months,” Ives wrote “We also believe the Biden administration is laser-focused on this troubling trend of cyberattacks and should catalyze more spending on the federal front.”

Ives sees the trend benefiting both large federal software contractors, like Telos (TLS) and Palantir Technologies (PLTR), as well as cybersecurity software vendors like Fortinet (FTNT), SailPoint (SAIL), CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD), Tenable Holdings (TENB), CyberArk Software (CYBR), Varonis Systems (VRNS), Zscaler (ZS), and Palo Alto Networks (PANW).

“We believe there is a $200 billion growth opportunity in cloud security alone ,” he wrote.

Ives adds that he has “high conviction” in the stocks in the group –and he also expects a “surge” of merger activity in the group driven by both strategic and financial buyers.

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NYSE:PLTR) announced today it was awarded a $7.4 million one-year contract renewal with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to continue to provide an outbreak response and disease surveillance solution for the Data Collation and Integration for Public Health Event Response (DCIPHER) Program.

This award deepens Palantir’s more than decade-long partnership with the CDC on disease surveillance efforts and is distinct from Palantir’s COVID-19 response work with U.S. federal health agencies. Palantir’s partnership with the CDC dates back to 2010 when it was initially brought in to help the agency better manage foodborne outbreaks.

DCIPHER is designed to assist public health experts in routine disease surveillance and outbreak management for real-time events. The core platform, based on Palantir Foundry, facilitates the collection and integration of various sources of epidemiological, surveillance, and laboratory data and provides tools for multiple organizations, including CDC’s jurisdictional partners, to investigate and take action.

Examples of programs currently using DCIPHER include the System for Enteric Disease Response, Investigation, and Coordination (SEDRIC) and the National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) within the CDC’s Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases.

"Using data to help prevent disease outbreaks and respond to public health emergencies are the kind of problems we built Palantir to help solve," said Palantir USG President Akash Jain. "We’ve been proud to work with the public health experts at the CDC for over a decade and look forward to our continued partnership."

Palantir Foundry enables data-driven decision-making by integrating data from siloed data sources and enabling granular access across various organizations. It is used by several federal health agencies, including the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Food and Drug Administration, and was also used by several military branches to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ohne die Infos von armophis (und noch ein paar wenigen) wäre ich hier nicht mehr investiert, da zu wenig Ahnung und Zeit. Von mir aus können diese daher zum Zweispitz auch noch den Dreispitz vom alten Fritz tragen ;-)

Die Münchener Rück scheint jedenfalls überzeugt ;-) und diese würde ich eher als konservativ einschätzen.

in Zeiten von Bilanzbetrügereien ala Wirecard sind Münchner Rück und ein Saudi-Fond als Geldgeber leider auch kein sicheres Indiz mehr dafür, daß in der Beteiligung alles koscher ist.
Da hilft nur die fragliche Butze (Babylon) selbst im Auge zu behalten. Was Alex Karp und Peter Thiel hoffentlich auch tun, zumindest solange die Anzahl der Beteiligungen noch überschaubar ist.
