The rest of the structures, measuring as long as 70 meters (230 feet), are for the Baillie wind park on the north coast of Scotland owned by Statkraft AS, the Norwegian renewable-energy company, and local wind energy developers, according to the statement. The rare earths supply squeeze, spurred on by China’s continuous slashing of its export quotas has encouraged nations to invest in mineral exploration with the intent of unearthing a viable rare earth source. Germany, Europe’s engineering-powerhouse, is among the countries looking to secure its own supply of rare earths in order to support its high-tech industry.
The development of a rare earth deposit, Storkwitz, in East Germany was recently announced by German mining group Deutsche Rohstoff AG (ETR:DR0,FWB:DR0). The deposit hosts an historical estimate of 38,000 tons of rare earth oxide and 8,000 tons of niobium based on exploration conducted in the mid-1970s by the then communist German Democratic Republic (GDR).
“A new company has been formed called Seltenerden Storkwitz AG to develop the deposits and the new company has received finance of 2.2 million euros from investors from Germany,” reported Michael Hogan, for Reuters. Deutsche Rohstoff AG is also planning an IPO for the newly formed Seltenerden Storkwitz AG in 2012….
With the support of the Germany federal government, BDI – Federation of German Industry is helping 12 major German manufacturing firms form an alliance to source a stable supply of raw materials vital for the health of the German economy. sieht mir aus wie Windparks die aufgrund der Finanzkrise von 2008 ein wenig verzögert wurden und jetzt mit Nordexanalagen gebaut werden? Eventuell waren ursprünglich andere Anlagen geplant?

In early 2010, Vestas, in an agreement with Ningxia Hanas New Energy Company, delivered 49MW of wind turbines to Huianbao, Ningxia. Nordex has also delivered five wind turbines to Ningxia's Taiyanshan and Mahuangshan I wind farms. More units are being planned to extend the Mahuangshan II wind farm. Nordex and Ningxia Electric Power jointly operate a wind turbine manufacturing facility in the province.

China Huadian Corporation has invested 9bn RMB to develop wind power project in Xiji county and Haiyuan county. The first phase of the Xiji county project has begun and is expected to have an installed capacity of 49.5MW when it is put into operation at the end of 2011. The installed capacity of the entire wind power station is 500MW, and the final phase will be completed in four or five years. Construction of the Haiyuan county station will begin in 2011. Huadian has stated that it will invest 16bn RMB over the next five years to develop wind power in Ningxia province. The state-owned company has recorded 1GW of installed capacity in the province in 2010 and expects installed capacity there to double by 2015.

MÜNCHEN (dpa-AFX) - Der Elektrokonzern Siemens (Siemens Aktie) hadert im Windkraftgeschäft mit der deutschen Bürokratie. "Die regulatorischen Voraussetzungen in Deutschland sind nicht gegeben, um die Projekte in der vorgegebenen Zeit abzuwickeln", sagte Vorstandschef Peter Löscher am Dienstag vor dem Beginn der Hauptversammlung. "Wir stellen heute fest, dass die zugesagten Zeiten von 30 bis 34 Monaten nicht abbildbar sind, das geht eher in Richtung 45 Monate und mehr. Das führt zu längeren Zeiten und höheren Kosten."

Zuvor hatte Siemens wegen Verzögerungen bei Genehmigungsprozessen für die Netzanbindung von fünf deutschen Windkraftprojekten Belastungen von 203 Millionen Euro verbucht. Das drückte den Quartalsgewinn merklich. Die Projekte haben einen Auftragswert von 1,6 Milliarden Euro. Eine Hürde sei zudem, dass es bei den Plattformen für Windkraftanlagen auf hoher See hierzulande im Gegensatz zu etwa Großbritannien keine Standardisierung gebe und somit Zulassungen länger dauerten.

Insgesamt sieht Löscher für das Windgeschäft eine Normalisierung sowohl beim Umsatzwachstum als auch bei der Profitabilität voraus. "Die goldenen Zeiten sind einfach vorbei, wo wir im Windgeschäft mit zweistelligen Wachstumsraten und Margen rechnen können." Es werde aber ein solides Geschäft mit einstelligen Margen sein. Für die kommenden Quartal geht Löscher mit einer positiven Entwicklung bei der Windkraft aus, die momentan unter einem harten Preiswettbewerb leidet./stb/tw
