AuGRID and EmInSys, Inc. Establish Partnership to Expedite Development of New Products and Technologies

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 2004--AuGRID Corporation (OTCBB:AGRD) announced today that its relationship with EmInSys, Inc., previously announced on June 29th, has been restructured to give AuGRID full use of EmInSys' patents on military level - encrypted communication protocols. This will allow AuGRID to expedite the advancement of the Emergency Notification System as well as the RFD Tag Airport Security system.
This new "partnership" also calls for Dan Sokol to become AuGRID's Chief Software Architect and Kirk Knight to be Chief IT and E-Commerce Infrastructure Architect. In addition to the security and notification system projects, Mr. Sokol and Mr. Knight will be involved in executing the final touches to the hardware and software for AuGRID's Internet Audio Jukebox and Gaming Console to be released later on this year under AuGRID's Optipure brand name.
Dan Sokol, who is highly regarded in Silicon Valley, has over 30 years of electronics engineering experience. Dan is one of the original members of the Homebrew Computer Club, which today is accredited for spinning off the multi-billion dollar personal computer (PC) industry. A long time technical advisor to Apple Computer's co-founder Steve Wozniak, Dan's expertise includes embedded systems design (hardware and software), video post-production, and semiconductor test engineering.

Mr. Sokol was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Cobaltcard.com, a patented online financial services firm that continues today as Size Technologies, Inc. (sizeti.com). He has also served as CTO for both Best-of-China.com, a dual language supply chain management firm, and All of the Above, Inc., a software R&D firm that was a pioneer in Java applications and streaming media for large public events. Mr. Sokol holds patents on Electronic Commerce Transactions with Minors, and on Interactive Storytelling and Design.
Kirk Knight has over 25 years of marketing, entrepreneurial, strategic and operations management experience in high-tech ventures. For the last decade, he has served as an independent marketing consultant to numerous high-tech firms in Silicon Valley including Apple, Sun, Intel, Motorola and Sprint FTS2000.
Mr. Knight is also a co-founder of Cobaltcard.com, which was funded by Crosspoint Ventures and Media Technology Ventures, as well as a former VP of Business Development for Best-of-China.com. He is a co-founder of iPrevail, Inc., a litigation support firm that specializes in high technology patent litigation, as well as co-founder and President of All of the Above, Inc. Mr. Knight shares two software patents with Dan Sokol, and has several other patents pending.
