Uranium Exploration Australia Limited (UXA) has been established to explore for, locate and develop commercial grade uranium mineralisation and associated copper and gold. The initial focus is on exploration in key target areas in Australia. UXA has 9 granted exploration licence areas (EL's) and a further 8 under exploration licence application (ELAs). UXA has 100% interest in all applications. Of these applications, · Seven ELs have been granted in South Australia and a futher one is under Exploration Licence Application. · All eight South Australian tenements are proximate to the world's largest known uranium deposit at Olympic Dam. · Three of the eight South Australian tenements are close to the recent gold/copper discoveries at Prominent Hill and Carrapateena · Two ELAs contain previously drilled uranium mineralisation · Six ELAs are in the Northern Territory. In November 2005 UXA Listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.

UEXA has secured 3,816 sq km or 13% of this area, in seven ELAs, six of which have been offered as ELs to UXA by PIRSA. These are within 20 km of undeveloped Olympic Dam satellites and other major copper/gold discoveries including Prominent Hill, 155km northwest, and RMG's July 2005 discovery at Carrapateena, 100km southeast of Olympic Dam.The next most important uranium mineralisation style is the Unconformity Vein style, best seen in the Alligator Rivers region of the Northern Territory and Athabasca area of Saskatchewan in NW Canada and Kazakhstan, which, when combined, make up 30% of global uranium resources, and 25% of Australian resources. UXA has four ELAs along the E,W & S margins of Kakadu National Park. The process of Native Title negotiations with each of the relevant Land Councils has been initiated for all areas. The third most important uranium mineralisation style is within sandstones and calcrete host rocks. Globally this style accounts for 15% of uranium resources, in Australia only 5% of uranium resources are found in these rocks.UXA has two ELAs in this uranium mineralisation style:1.Yeelirrie SE (ELA 36/546) in Western Australia, on the SE margin of BHPB's undeveloped Yeelirrie calcrete deposit in Western Australia, part of the largest calcrete-uranium occurrence in Australia. Some early WMC drill holes intersected uranium in calcrete on this ELA.2. Pandanus West (ELA 24565) in the Northern Territory, immediately to the west of the old Pandanus Creek uranium mine, currently held by Rio Tinto, in the Westmoreland area. UXA's Pandanus West ELA is part of the largest sandstone-uranium occurrence in Australia, which extends for over a 50km strike across the Northern Territory / Queensland border.

UXA Starts Sloane Hill Drilling

Uranium Exploration Australia Limited has commenced a two-staged, 3,450 metre drilling program within its uranium prospects in South Australia. A diamond drill rig has been contracted and will be mobilised to site next week.

UXA’s Executive Chairman, Neill Arthur, said: “The commencement of drilling marks a further step forward in the implementation of our exploration programme as outlined in UXA’s Prospectus in November 2005.

“The ground surveying program and prior airborne radiometric survey directly led to the identification of drill targets on ten uranium prospects. We are particularly excited about the seven prospects which are considered shallow targets, estimated between 50-350 metres depth.

“These targets feature as the major focus for the current drilling program, budgeted to cost approximately A$520,000.”

Drilling will start at the Sloanes Hill prospect located on UXA’s Prominent Hill South EL 3429. The company expects that the first drill hole will take approximately two weeks to reach planned depth, subject to weather and drilling conditions.

The Sloanes Hill prospect is one of seven UXA prospects located within the same ‘mineralised corridor’ that hosts major resource discoveries such as BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam, Oxiana’s Prominent Hill, and Teck/Cominco-RMG Services’ recently discovered Carrapateena project. UXA holds title to approximately 14% of the 30,000 square kilometre area located within the Gawler Craton region.

UXA has approved a comprehensive drilling program following significant progress and good results from recent field surveys on UXA’s South Australian prospects. The commencement of the first stage drilling program at Sloanes Hill followed completion of Native Title agreements and heritage clearances with the relevant Native Title groups.

The second stage will comprise a Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling programme of 20 to 30 holes that will initially focus on Sloanes Hill before testing a number of other nearby prospects.

Diese Bohrungen basieren auf den Explorationsergebnissen v. November 2005 in denen
enorme Mengen v.
