Motricity dämmt Verlust im 2. Quartal ein und erhöht Umsatz

New York (BoerseGo.de) – Das US-Unternehmen Motricity konnte im zweiten Quartal seinen Verlust im Vergleich zum Vorjahr eindämmen und gleichzeitig den Umsatz erhöhen.
Der Verlust verringerte sich im Jahresvergleich von 11,6 Millionen Dollar oder 1,95 Dollar je Aktie auf 4,3 Millionen Dollar oder 0,09 Dollar je Anteilsschein. Bereinigt wurde ein Nettogewinn von 2,0 Millionen Dollar oder 0,04 Dollar je Aktie ausgewiesen, nach 3,7 Millionen Dollar oder 0,09 Dollar je Aktie im Vorjahr. Analysten hatten im Vorfeld der Zahlen mit einem bereinigten Ergebnis je Aktie von plus 0,09 Dollar gerechnet.
Der Umsatz stieg jedoch im gleichen Zeitraum deutlich um 14 Prozent auf 34,6 Millionen Dollar an, nach 30,4 Millionen Dollar im Vorjahrjahresquartal. Hier lagen die Analystenschätzungen zuvor bei 37,08 Millionen Dollar.
Im Ausblick auf das dritte Quartal erwartet das Unternehmen beim Ergebnis vor Zinsen, Steuern und Abschreibungen (EBITDA) den Breakeven zu erreichen. Beim bereinigten Ergebnis wird ein Verlust von vier Millionen Dollar gesehen. Der Umsatz wird mit 31,5 bis 32,5 Millionen Dollar prognostiziert. Analysten gehen derzeit von einem Umsatz von 45,48 Millionen Dollar im Quartal aus.
